Run 21 and finally get legendary from red chest after pulling coloured skulls.
The Legendary drop rate from Haunt really needs to be much, much higher. Not seeing any significant improvement in drop rates, in fact last three runs were no legendary drops at all, and the ones before junk items. Not even anointed junk items. Getting to him is a tedious time sink so it’s really frustrating where run after run he doesn’t drop a single Legendary.
Does it feel like we have fewer viable builds than other Vault Hunters? Yes

P.S. I have all 4 max level VH. And yes, Fl4k can kill boses quicker, but IMHO Mooze is stronges overall.
I find this amusing as I played BL1, TPS and BL2 for years and the drop rates in ANY of them were a fraction of what they are in BL3. So a decision has been made to basically reward almost every single fight with a legendary weapon. It seems too easy now. Must be pitched at the generation that has grown up with the idea that merely turning up deserves a trophy.
If you ever farmed Gettle and Mobley 50 times to get a Lyuda you’ll understand.
Been farming Haunt for the past couple hours and iv been getting 2 to 3 legendaries a run on Mayhem 3 with loaded dice and the Luck perk from Guardian Ranks. I love the changes my only problem is storage. Got 3 character with full backpacks and a bank with only one slot open so I can move stuff back and forth. I hope they do more then just give us 100 more bank slots. I’m talking 150 to 200. With Anointed gear specific for events in addition to the character spicific ones and the fact that a number of legendaries come in multiple elements 150 Bank Slots is just not going to cut it. Otherwise Backpacks will continue to he used as storage for items we may not even be using right now for our current build.
BL3 is supposed to let you change the way you play while still using the same character. This leads to the possiblity of needing a different set of loot for each build you want to run.
Right now the bank should be around 200 slots OR have character spicific banks that you can swap between when in the bank.
I hope this is coming within the next week or so. Its getting really hard deciding what I keep and throw away and it never feels good to toss something you may find a use for later down the line.
I personally hated how stingy some of the bosses where with drops even on UVHM. Having the legendary you wanted drop but in the wrong element or with really bad parts was not a great feeling. However that was a problem only a fraction of the player base felt as majority of people just didn’t care or well had other ways of getting loot.
Regardless I like the feeling of seeing rewards more often. It keeps me going to see what else I will get or If I can get that gun again but better.
Also Barrel Technical Jumping was a revolutionized that farm in BL2 XD a crosive Lyuda with the stability attachment was all I ever wanted from BL2 (melting badass Loaders since 2012)
As for saying the decision was based off what a younger audience wants is well a bit silly. This game is made for the hardcore fans. We have been waiting more loot more often for ages so GBX did it.
I wish one was of the adjustments was lowering the requirements for some of the challenges. Some of those challenges are just too grindy
rofl super work OMG olds hard bugs inc back, fight with HAUNT freeze game 3x in row and its unplayable ,realy isnt fun when must clear way to Haunt and when have haunt 5% life game freeze
,i 5x stuck in enemy when jump to me cant move any and die .after start new game with new character i have complet all main and side quests on normal diff.and i see after 40 hours 3 legendary OMG RNG system is super fail i have 20% chance to proc weapon and i see in one tiime proc every sec and in other time proc one per 30min OMG what is it ?.GAME is SUPER bored all my 30 friends stop play iam last and think i stop play to.game have super performance lags FPS droping,coop is unplayable super lags and freezing,slaughters is unplayable enemy anointed stuck in textures, or same jetpack enemy ,change weapons in inventory is nightmare, and many many more
Tediore Moze it’s a pain to build because all the ítem you must collect, but boy that thing melts w/o throwing a single grenade.
Ps. Dear GB, this build works fine, it’s not Op or unbalanced, it’s works on pure item sinergy scaled with Moze skills, please don’t “balance” it.
I’m on PC. Sometimes MoD works fine. I’ll regen grenades off of my Ogre or Short Fuse procs from something like a Shreddifier. Sometimes it just stops working for a while. The grenades will come back in bursts and then suddenly stop regenerating for several minutes.
I’m wondering if proccing it really quickly in a short amount of time breaks it.
Honestly, all Moze needs is another way to sustain herself outside of Vampyr, some of her anti-synergistic skills looked at (Click. Click.) and IB fixed and she’d be fine.
Worked my way up to mayhem mode 2, have been going alright and could defeat captain haunt. Now after the patch/hotfix I don’t even come close to beating him in mayhem 1 or 2, I’ve had to go back to normal mode with no mayhem to be able to defeat captain haunt. Which means I am getting crap loot not even worth picking up, why keep changing the game when it was good as it was? seriously starting to not enjoy myself, time to look for a new game…
Or the timeline. It’s likely the timeline might not have allowed time to schedule a fix for it, so it got bumped to a hotfix, and in terms of priority came in behind other hotfixes.
This is what people don’t seem to understand about software development. It’s either “there was no QA” (wrong), or “it was intentionally left in because ha ha ha consumers”. There’s no appreciation for the reality of a fixed deadline. Perhaps you should be complaining about the fact that video games are a business, and have to turn a profit. If that wasn’t the case, then these things wouldn’t necessarily be as constrained in terms of release date, and more things could be addressed before the going gold.

Gearbox is aware of it. Unfortunately it will require to be in a “patch” and not just a hotfix. So it will take time. Maybe next month. Maybe.
But we know they’re working on it so there’s that.
Right. I’m playing on mayhem 3 just did 3 runs of the heck hole and haunt hasn’t dropped a single legendary. I did get a ghast call off a badass ghost while getting to him. From what l can see all this hot"fix" has done is turn haunt into more of a bullet sponge than he already was but little to improve his rubbish drop rates. If this is indicative of how gearbox intend to manage the game, which let’s be honest is nothing more than a full price beta then l see the maliwan take down being frustrating trash due to constant tweaking that is just trolling the player base. I think the fun police have been to gearbox hq and arrested all the devs who knew what the word fun means. Because this shower of bovine excretion called borderlands 3 sure does lack it.
I usually don’t comment on here, but I have to say that 3 is an awefully small sample size.
Even with a 50% drop rate (which would be really high) chances aren’t too small for three Haunt kills to not yield any legendary.
Did you read my reply at all? I said I have done some QA before. And yes, I understand timelines for hotfixes. But do you seriously think that this should have been fixed after the loot drops (reducing them heavily), or fixing the loot midgets? And like this, they were fixed within a week of the PR team becoming aware of it (to which, great job guys).
I appreciate that the PR team passed it on and it got fixed, don’t get me wrong. What I don’t appreciate is the fact that it is unlikely they were not aware about it, and that it was left in as a design decision.
And no, I don’t mean it in the way you said. And I never said there was no QA. I was questioning the QUALITY of the QA, or the COMMUNICATION between QA and programmers, or the lead game designer and QA (and whether QA was ignored, or whatever the case may be).
And, how difficult do you think it was to fix it? Because as I see it it’s about an extra 30 lines of code, editing maybe 15 lines. And then testing it.
@ schnorm. If it was a case of rock up and fight then yeah 3 is small. But the fact you have to collect hectoplasm, yes l know this patch has made that at least easier, then run through heck with bs mayhem modifiers then l think 0 legendaries out of 3 runs is taking the piss. I endure mayhem because of the increased chance of worthwhile loot. Its not a fun element and feels like a chore. If you wanna do 50 runs though you crack on. Some of us don’t have the time or the stomach for the repetition.
All of these fixes are fine, and I’d love to get Moze back. But other than broken quests, none of them are as important to QOL than fixing the damn menu lag in split screen. It makes the game almost unplayable. Or, at least, the menus. Vertical split screen would be awesome too, but not at the expense of that lag. That should be priority 1.
