I wonder if in order to address the extra projectiles issue it would make sense to now go back to certain weapons like the Seventh Sense and naturally increase the number of extra projectiles it creates to, say, four while not having extra elements effect it as they did previously. Four projectiles would be a good level of power and similar in to what it could do previously. In that way, the weapons would retain their previous power and popularity while no game-breaking mechanics are introduced. They would, however, have to look at each of the weapons individually to ensure satisfying play.

@Noelle_GBX I know GB has caught some grief for some of its previous patches and decisions, but the last two patches have truly improved the game play. Moze/IB now have viable build options. More weapons are usable at M10. Prior to these patches no way I would use an ASA anoint with Moze. Now it is very much a usable build, even for the Takedowns at M10. Not easy, but doable. So thanks to GB for these, in my opinion, huge improvements to the game.

Alright so I have a concern, I think this update broke amara to the point she can hit damage cap because of all her double dipping, revelation and do harm getting it’s scaling back. For the sake of build diversity it should be toned down alot because at the moment it is even killing true takedown bosses in literal seconds. Please look into getting her more balanced and thank you for your time.

@Noelle_GBX seems that bloodshine is not respawning, but tumorhead is.

I fail to understand how GB says the extra projectiles were a bug, not a feature, but then released weapons in later content that were only powerful because of those added projectiles.

@RancidLunchmeat, don’t start injecting common sense into this!

What weapons?

ā€œWay overpowered?ā€ So basically you could just use the OPQ for the entire Guardian Takedown and 1-shot everything, breezing through the Takedown on M10?

There haven’t been any buffed weapons, post-patch. Each patch has been a nerf of groups of weapons. Amazingly, I think GBX has gotten them all. I assume they will begin researching and targeting other parts of the game to nerf for future patches.

OPQ was way overpowered with the clone. You could literally stand there while the clone demolishes everything.
There are videos of people just switching back and forth with the clone barely shooting while the clone kills everything in Guardian Takedown in M10.

I am not advocating that the clone get nerfed but that interaction with the clone was way too strong and its good that they fixed the double dipping.

Why is it good? What’s wrong with it?

So what other weapons would be appropriate and capable?

ā€œDouble dipping?

Every patch since the Cartel event has been a series of heavy nerfs.

Not sure where you’ve been, but every patch since the cartel event have been a series of heavy buffs. That’s quite the opposite of these nerfs you keep claiming are happening.

Phase one patch buffed every pistol, along with a lot of ARs and shotguns. Phase two patch buffed action skills and melee damage significantly. This patch buffed drop rates for dedicateds.

There has been some small balancing, but nothing that wasn’t needed.

Yeah okay, lol

I would not go so far and call them ā€œheavyā€ buffs.
Making more of the pistols useful in higher levels, yes, but nowhere near a heavy buff. And now, due to the projectile nerf, many went from being good to being completely useless: Queen’s call, Maggie, Seventh Sense come to mind.

SMGs, they barely touched them. The few that got a buff, did not get enough and are still pretty unuseable at the higher levels.

ARs in general need a buff for sure. Outside of OPQ, what ARs can really be called acceptable at the higher levels? Monarch and that is about it.

The buffs to action skills have been pretty significant. Guns are optional at this point lol

OPQ was getting double the scaling when the clone was using it. The interaction was broken. Same way that the interaction was broken when using the Mine Sweeper Com while using Iron Bear which was also getting double the Mayhem scaling. They were both bugs that should be fixed.

As for what other weapons are good for the clone, there are plenty. OPQ system is still good. Grease Trap is amazing as long as you use the other fire mode with that gun and the clone sets them on fire. Light Show is great, a lot of rocket launchers are good, Beacon is great, Sandhawk is strong too. There are many more. The only difference is that OPQ isn’t the monster it was on the clone.

The game is in a better place than it was now. The action skill buffs (not every patch was a nerf) made a huge difference. That still doesn’t mean that there aren’t a bunch of things that they don’t need to fix. There are tons of bugs, especially the FL4K ones that they should fix. Once bugs are fixed they need to buff a ton of under performing guns but we will see what Gearbox ends up doing.

Maybe not heavy. But the point was that most of the last several patches were mostly all buffs in general.

As far as ARs, the Soulrender is top tier and the Ogre is still good with a splash Moze. The NoPewPew is still doing work at lvl57 and there’s the Boom Sickle (again best on splash Moze). Others that are viable at M10 (not particularly BIS, but viable): Star Helix, Contained Blast, and Breath of the Dying. The Carrier and Warlord could put in work with the right builds and AR buffs on MODs/Artifacts, but I haven’t checked these since the projectile fix.

I personally don’t like the Monarch, or the Dictator before that. I’m not a huge fan of being stuck in place with that bi-pod out.
