There were actually multiple releases of the DLC as physical disks - at one time I had a separate case/disk for Underdome + Zombie Island combined, and only later replaced it with the BL1 GotY version to get the other DLCs. Each subsequent version of the separate disk package had its own artwork. You can see that in the fuller list of included content.

I don’t remember if the DLC for BL2 were ever released as separate physical disks - by that time more people had their consoles hooked up to the internet, and downloading a single campaign DLC was not as scary as downloading an entire game (although I remember it taking long enough at the time!)

I didn’t really know where to post this…but I thought it was interesting. At tartarus station I’ve been hearing the locals say stuff I’ve never heard before…these 2 guys sitting on a roof and one said something like “watch out for skags…they’ll eat anything if they’re hungry”…and another guy said something like " youre a mercenary huh? You must have some stories to tell"…Idk if this is common and I just somehow missed it or a somewhat rare thing.

I have less and less time as I move forward in life…
In home ABA visits from M-Th from 4pm-7pm makes it difficult to get online/game. With the focused help with my Son’s development with social skills and every day tasks as well as verbal communication development we’re working on makes it near impossible to jump online during that time. I’ve been spending more “weekend” time online to game as that tends to be my only free time, unless I get online late at night. With my early mornings and long commute, I’m finding myself passing out before actually doing any gaming.

edit: I spent a ton of time farming the Armory and mobbing clearing missions with Roland. Having so much fun playing with different coms I come across. It’s been years since I’ve played Roland, so it’s kinda fresh. I’m remembering a lot of things but also, rediscovering things as well which is really fun for me. I just wish I had more time. lol As soon as I get home today I’ll hit the ground running with preparing for the ABA arrival and making sure the house is clean. The misses doesn’t get home till after ABA is gone so Its all me.

That’s a tough nut brother, and 3 hours is a long session. I worked at an ABA preschool here in NY, and that was a lot to process. I loved the kids and hated the adults, but I think most people who work with kids feel that way. I hope it’s helping Ryder progress. In my experience the kids with involved parents, like yourself, did the best, so I have only the highest expectations and the best wishes for all of you. Working there had me so wiped out I couldn’t game even when I had the time, I can only imagine what it’s like for you. If I can help in anyway don’t hesitate to ask. I’m not a BCBA, but you are welcome to whatever knowledge I have.

Then you can relate. Kudos to you brother. Its not easy…

Since we’ve started this, which is about 3 weeks ago. He’s had a ton of improvement. He’s really progressing quickly and I’m a huge fan of this just because of what I see in my Son.

You’re correct. Being involved as heavily as I am has really helped out a lot. I’m also able to carry on what ABA does when their gone. They keep interacting with me on certain “programs” they’re having him participate in. Its all been very helpful, just time consuming. I am trapped at the house till ABA leaves being the only adult. So I’m trapped at home for the evening. Can’t run errands, go pick up something for dinner. That is what makes it so hard, is the time management and having things come up that I would typically go handle, but can’t now. I’m having to load up my Fridays and weekends with tasks that can’t be done during the week. I do it all for my boy.:hugs:

I knew nothing about it when I started that job, but I saw kids go from non-verbal and painfully shy to speaking and friendly in the space of a few months, and that made me a proponent of the method. There is absolutely nothing like seeing a change that profoundly positive in a child. If I could deal with uninvolved parents and over involved administration better then that would have been my chosen career path. Keep up the good work, and never be afraid to ask for help. My heart goes out to you and yours.

Thanks @paulothead it means a lot. When my Son sees me, when I pick him up from his Mother, or just walk in my front door M-Th. I hear my Son say, “What’s happening Dude?” cause I say that too him all the time. It melts my heart to hear his voice say that. For that reason alone, I love ABA. :innocent:

I present to you, my son’s reenactment of my first successful grenade jump.

(Seriously, that’s how I felt when I got it right the first time. I wonder what kind of trouble I can get in now, you know what I mean?)

Just so you know, kids WILL climb. There’s a very good reason all my book shelves got anchored to the walls! (Actually, two very good reasons in my case, and both of them incredibly cute at that age…)

Yeah, I figured that out the day that my son used me as a step stool to get the TV remote off of the sofa. I’ve done an, up to this point at least, acceptable job of limiting his access to exploits such as the one pictured above, but I’m starting to look into 1 year old sized ball and chain sets just in case. Also, I’m beginning to wonder how long I have to wait until the collar that Jack put on Lilith is commercially available. Or an autonomous Clatrap styled babysitter. That would be pretty sweet. All the wubs for my bubs.

That would be pretty cool and kind of weird at the same time.

Now you got me thinking of the “Robositter” from ATHF:

As long as it comes with the stairclimbing.exe file preinstalled it’s totally worth the money.

He’s adorable. My little man gets anywhere he wants. moves objects to get higher. He can mouse-trap a situation together with household furniture and items to get him his desired results. lol Kinda amazing to witness sometimes. My son is going thru a growth spurt. really filling out.

FTFY.

Really though, kids are masters of manipulating their environment, either directly as pictured above, or indirectly like when they get us to aid and abet their shenanigans. I am in awe of him and I hope that he turns out to be helpful rather than diabolical. To quote my wife when she sees him every day, “Use your powers for good!!!”

And thank you. He’s certainly the cutest thing I’ve ever had a part in creating.

I love this quote too much. I’m using it. You’ve been warned.:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

By all means. The counterpart to that is my plan to get him a poster of Uncle Ben saying “With great power comes great responsibility.” Because sarcastic inspirational posters are the best kind. :upside_down_face:

I don’t want to keep derailing the item finds of the day thread. But the airplane analogy reminds me of Ikari Warriors Arcade game. or Duke Nukem/Doom quality graphics. lol good ol, 16bit. or was it 8bit?

Well Nintendo was 8 so whenever that was.
