They don’t allow duping. They simply can’t stop it without becoming destiny. And I mean that quite literally, as long as you save your character to your own storage device and not the company’s server duping will always be possible.
It didn’t really need one. The storm front was pretty good, but I know from experience that the Xbox and pc communities were filled with modded SF’s. It would be “shock storm front” and have the fastball’s impact damage and ridiculous electrocution dp/s. I actually thought that’s what it was supposed to do for awhile before I farmed for a vanilla level 72 one and found it was garbage compared to my modded level 50 one I got in co-op.
it still is broken in a fun way, i would rather use a combination of gears and skills to kill graveward in under 5 seconds than to just throw a pipe bomb on him.
They stated yrs ago they were gonna save the game on their side to prevent it but I can only assume cost kept it the same way.
I’m good with it either way, 80 percent of my BL2 trades ended up as dupes. You get in the chat and one of you says the “magic” word all quiet. I’m laughing just remembering it.
It’s a utility, and I’m sure gearbox knows it.
I heard once they left the duel duping in bl2 deliberately, because removing it wouldn’t make duping impossible, it’d only annoy the fan base.
Believe it or not, duping and farming are a part of the borderlands fabric. Ask any player who has played since bl2, not even bl1 (plenty of good times playing that game) and they will probably agree.
Even the purists would have a tough time denying it.
Like I said gearbox knows exactly what they are doing.
