Borderlands O.T.D.H. Loot Maps

Uploaded silent updates of all maps that have been completed so far. These updates won’t affect version numbers of maps.

Reduced dimensions of maps roughly to half. It dawned me during work on Knoxx Armory that some of the maps just will be too big (height over 10.000px). This is due to active adjustment of map dimensions to represent their relative sizes more accurately, sometimes contrary to their appearance on in-game map. New scale is similar to of previous BL2 and BL:TPS O.T.D.H. Loot Maps. Additionally made some minor refinements and under-the-hood adjustments based on things learned during this project. This update contains no new details on loot info.

Thanks for your efforts. I have been playing this game for…a long time, and there are a bunch of chests I never knew existed!

Posted DLC 3 Knoxx Armory loot maps. Clappy next.

Thank you :grinning:. I did also spend LOT of time back in times on relaxed BL1 strolls at Pandora. Still have found some new chests during this project. And probably will in future…

12 posts were merged into an existing topic: Remastered Rare Loot Drop Sources Survey

Sorry if this makes some posts look a little disconnected from their original context!

Thank you SO MUCH for doing these! I forgot to check when I started my playthrough and I’ve been using those weird maps from wiki, and let’s say they’re not even close to yours! Thanks again!

On the Salt Flats map it shows a Weapon vending machine near the Rust Commons entrance.
I just checked it out and it’s an Ammo machine.
I was Level 32 - does this change after PT2? Or is the map image incorrect?

Yes, icon is wrong one. Noticed also that they aren’t in correct order, medic should be on right (in map). I’ll update map tomorrow. Thanks for letting me know :+1:.

Vendors are identical in every playthrough.

[ Edit 27.4.2019]

Uploaded v1.1 of The Salt Flats map:

1) Main Game map 17, The Salt Flats - Fixed incorrect vendor icon

Thanks :grinning:, @Scottes : credits given and :cookie:.

Didn’t realized it was a “new thread” at first. Once again big thumb’s up for this incredibly useful tool.
Almost afraid to ask but… Could you add Claptrap backpack sdu locations? I know they’re easy to find with the “!” icon but I’m not sure if one is not showing on the map… Can’t remember which.

The claptrap in Old Haven is actually invisible until you get to main story “Not without my claptrap”. Is that the one you’re missing?

If I knew which one… :joy:
Didn’t got there yet with my second character. I’ll try to remember that.
Found them all with the first.
… but i was playing with a friend and I swear he showed me one that wasn’t showing on the map. Could be false memory tho. If you can activate it while “invisible” then it must be the one. :+1:

Compare the missions you’ve done to the list at the bottom of this page:

General rule is that included collectibles/mission markers shouldn’t have ones provided by game. Went a bit overboard on BL2 and TPS loot maps and have planned to remedy this on these (BL1) maps. I’ll look on these later, if there would be suitable candidates for mission map markers. But Claptrap missions either have that marker in-game or are right on players path. So it looks a bit bleak for them. But we’ll see.

Note that (if I recall correctly) SDU upgrade reward for one of the DLC Claptrap missions is not guaranteed. Knoxx one I believe. So based on luck you can end first playthrough either with 48 or 51 slots.

Posted DLC 4 Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution loot maps.

Map of Sanders Gorge’s is (intentionally? scrambling of some sort?) left incomplete in game. I did draw primary enhanced version, and in case someone prefers that, also one representing how game shows this map.

All maps have now been completed and I concentrate on (enjoying the game ), ironing possible wrinkles and maybe adding new elements to maps. If you have suggestion on these, I can’t understand how it ever would hurt to ask. And obviously, keep the sharp eye on those missing chests.

Happy hunting :slightly_smiling_face:.

Posted v1.1 of Treacher’s Landing map:

1) Main Game, 12 Treacher's Landing - Adjusted random Silver chest locations

Made some additional runs on Treacher’s Landing’s random chests and edited map accordingly. Seems that every run spawns four Silver chests and on some occasions all five.

Uploaded v1.1’s of three main game maps:

1) Main game, 14 Krom's Canyon - Added one Red Chest
2) Main game, 15 Trash Coast - Adjusted random Red Chest locations
3) Main game, 19 Crimson Fastness - Adjusted random Red Chest locations

After similar random chest runs on two maps, refined their random spawn rules. And after all these years, found one new chest from Krom’s Canyon. That’s after Claptrap chest on route towards Reaver’s location, past bridge. Enjoy

This hidden red chest in prison in Knoxx DLC is not accessible anymore, crouching to it is not working, weird!

Intriguing. Doesn’t look familiar to me. Could you give more details on location? This is still from Remastered GOTY (2019)?

I think he is referring to this chest here:

While yes it is still possible to get to, it is waaaay more annoying.

(Apologies for the keyboard clicking.)

Nice one Stouty, never thought of grenade jumping there…

OK, thanks guys :+1:. I will add this soon. Due credits a coming…

Reason why I asked about which edition you were playing is that I can crouch there just fine on consoles 2019 Remastered GOTY. Maybe they refined env. models just a little during process?
