Ok so I have been off the boards a while. I usually only jump on when I have something I actually feel like discussing.
I was playing BL2 on my Vita and thinking, shoot if the Vita was just a tiny bit more powerful this would have been such an amazing game…which got me thinking. Nintendo Switch.
Who would love to see some iteration of Borderlands, either The Handsome Collecting or the Upcoming Borderlands 3 on the Nintendo Switch.
Rumors have the Switch’ GPU/CPU right up there with Xbone and PS4 but we won’t know for sure until January 12th.
What are your thoughts on this? Would you want to see some form of BL on Nintendo’s upcoming system?
Here is all we know about the possibility, and that is Randy Pitchford saying basically, Wait and see…

I’m all for it, but I doubt I would buy them for the Switch. I already have a PS4, so BL3 is covered. I’m also not in the mood to start all six BL2 characters from scratch for the 4th time on yet another system.

On that I agree with you. If they do Borderlands for Switch I would prefer Borderlands 3 and maybe Tales From The Borderlands ( as I only played through that once)
Here is hoping that lil system can impress Gearbox with its gumption and Third Party support enough that they want to see Borderlands on the Switch too.

Im sure it will, considering its finally on a new cpu and not a revamped one. Wii u was based on the wii’s, which in turn was based on the gamecubes. 15 year old tech.
I’d love it. But It would be great if we could jump in as level 72 characters, perhaps via shift or simply a menu option for all.
I’m considering getting the switch but my wife would likely make me get rid of some other system to do that. Xbox 360, Xbox one, and Wii U. I can’t ditch the 360 because of Rockband 3’s pro mode. Can’t ditch Wii U because the switch won’t really support all those discs we have for the Wii U. It’s perhaps the only problem I have with the switch. To me, it would be more of an upgrade to the 3ds because I would bring my games with me and play it in other rooms of my house rather than only the gaming room. It’s what I thought the Wii U might have been until we discovered that the Wii U had to be like 20 feet from it’s base station to work.
Anyhow. Ultimately we’ll likely cave i and get it. I just don’t know when. Likely long enough for it to be cheaper than release.
Even the xbox one is backwards compatible enough to do 360 stuff and that one could do xbox original stuff. I don’t think it’s really fair to call it 15 year old tech. Technically all this crap is 50 year old tech if you think about it. Look at the latest hardware and compare it to other recent hardware. Switch will be better hardware than the wii u and I heard, close to xbox one or ps4 capabilities. So. That’s what really matters.

Not close to. At/slightly above. And really, look it up. They just kept upgrading the same cpu basically. The Switch is an entirely new ballgame. This is like going from the SNES to the N64. A ■■■■■■■ quantum leap.
Would be awesome if the Borderlands series came to the Switch.

The collaborative nature of Borderlands is a perfect fit for the switch. If the graphics and game engine can be made compatible. I would happily buy again borderlands 1 or 2 on the switch.
