This post is very true, sadly. This patch shouldn’t even be necessary as respawnable bosses should never be an issue in a game centered around looting… It surely just seems like this game was a filler with little effort put into it, which really sucks considering how much I love this series

I wish Destiny was on the PC so I could compare…but it isn’t so I have no basis to talk about it…

So I won’t…

But gosh you guys beat this game (TPS) up too much methinks…

sure there are things wrong with it…name me a game that doesn’t have stuff you’d rather see…

Is it as good as BL2…No
Is it a bad game…No

In fact it has a bunch of new and different borderlands “stuff”

And they continue to work to improve the game.

Non-Respawnable bosses was a mistake and the 24th will fix most of that issue which also gives a solid source of different legendaries OTHER than the grinder

speaking of which the grinder is a totally new concept over and above BL2

Other issues have commitments from GB to fix.

And a Huge DLC is coming…

Yepper…methinks we beat this game up waaaay too much.

I have gotten my money’s worth out of this game already…with more to come.

  1. Un-Respawning bosses was no mistake. It was because of people who complained they wanted to fell like they completed something.

  2. As was stated, moonstone grinding caused the problem. It isn’t so easy to fix, and it just makes legendaries as rare as they should be. You wanted respawnable bosses for legendaries, go farm them.
    Have one or the other, but not both.

  3. Comparing TPS to destiny makes no sense. There are only a few similarities, but not enough to say on is superior over the other.

It sucks you feel that way. They are listening to us and giving us alot of new content and fixing alot of things. Destiny in my opinion is so much inferior to borderlands. They have alot to learn before they can even compare.

There is a huge prejudice against Holodome in BL community. It is a great arena to play repeatedly at the end game.

I don’t see why they can’t drop the legendaries in vendors down a bit. Compared to BL2, in which after my 10+ days of gametime I have only got a legendary in a vendor ONCE, it’s a bit high. People would complain, but so be it.

I’m not convinced that they were intending to allow purple weapon moonstone grinding to legendary. OR that they were completely ready to add it. Hence the crashing that was happening. And the hotfix and patching it out. Give it time, perhaps they’ll add it back correctly. Also, it’s too early to judge this game. I suggest waiting until the campaign DLC comes out 4 days from now and seeing how you feel then.

Also, one of my issues with Destiny is a lack of complete matchmaking for coop and raid. They’re so focused on multiplayer but they don’t let you do matchmaking for story missions at least? Yea, they let you matchmake Strikes (and of course PvP) . Why not more of the game? Bungie needs to stop focusing on your friends list. I build my friends list by playing games in matchmaking. I shouldn’t have to seek out players outside the game. Gearbox on the other hand always has coop and players in mind. So Gearbox wins, in my opinion.

general statement, not adressed to anyone in particular. you seemed to have missed the underlying concept to my statement. all the dlc hasnt been released yet, so comparing the “end game” of 2 games past the dlc life cycle to an incomplete game that hasn’t yet had all it’s dlc released is “mildy” unreasonable. and im not saying your incorrect about mob density bc that is fairly blatant. and what do you mean by that last line? did they say they were/are gonna increase mob density? cuz thatd be fan-frickin-tastic.

One of the comments was both damning GBX for shipping the game without respawning bosses, and then calling GBX hypocrites for putting them in We’re far past the point of maturity. It is pretty funny, though
