Score themed loot for your Borderlands 3 Vault Hunters during the Broken Hearts Day seasonal in-game event until February 25.
Broken Hearts Day is back! Mysterious floating hearts are swirling around lovesick enemies across the Borderlands, and aboard Sanctuary III your Saurian pal Maurice—sensing an opportunity to further his studies of our species’ courting rituals—needs assistance. As you travel around the galaxy, he’d like you to break any hearts you see by shooting them down. Simple!

Hearts aren’t all the same, of course, and during this event there are six distinct ways they can break. Some will fall to the ground with a fiery explosion, while others will drop loot, regenerate your health, or briefly turn nearby enemies into allies. Word has it there are even rare hearts that will spawn groups of ghosts from the Bloody Harvest, affording you an off-season opportunity to score some spooky loot.
Maurice places an equal value on all the various heart types and will keep track of how many you’ve broken. Obliterate enough hearts, and he’ll mail new Broken Hearts Day rewards for your troubles:
10 – “ECHOcardiogram” ECHO Skin
25 – “Cosmic Romance” Weapon Trinket
50 – “Terminal Polyaimorous” Legendary Maliwan SMG
75 – “Heartbreaker” Vault Hunter Skin
100 – “Wedding Invitation” Legendary Jakobs Sniper Rifle
Vault Hunters that helped the sentient Saurian last year will notice that this year’s Broken Hearts Day seasonal event includes recolored ECHO skin, Weapon Trinket, and Vault Hunter Skin cosmetic rewards. It also brings back last year’s Legendary guns— which can only be obtained during this event— at the current level cap of 65.

You have two weeks to assist Maurice before this seasonal event ends at 8:59 AM PT on Thursday, February 25. If you don’t want to take part in the Broken Hearts Day event, or at least want to play Borderlands 3 without breaking hearts for a while, you can opt out from the main menu. Note that when you join an online game, the host player’s setting will determine whether or not the event is active.
Now get out there and break some baddies’ hearts guilt-free—they all had it comin’!

Neither the Wedding Invitation nor the Terminal Polyaimourous can come with the newer anointments (e.g. 300/90, urad, etc.). Is it possible that this could be fixed before the event is over?

I’ve played for about 6 hours since the event has started and i still didn’t get a single reward for shooting those hearts. Is there something wrong?
In the menu shows the option “disable event”, so i assume that i have the event ON right?

They don’t come in the mail. Go to the Event tab and claim the rewards there. They will appear directly in your inventory.

They will only be level 65 if your character is. If you are leveling a new character, do not claim your rewards until you are, and have your desired mayhem level on. They are still locked at last year’s cap of 53. The level 53 lock seems dumb, but I also should have thought of the fact that if I claimed them in no mayhem, they would have no mayhem. I really wish they would have changed them to be drops, rather than rewards, so we could more easily try to get the anointments we need…

Does anyone got the bug that Maurice is not commenting our progress in the event? Not a single comment from him, which is sad cause Maurice is probably my favorite npc in the game.

Mine too and last night I saw him do something new (for me) . I was running a newer toon and returned to Sanctuary after the GenIVIV fight. When she took over the ship and the bots were shooting, as I ran past Marcus’s shop, Maurice came running down the stairs. He then paced the floor near the Maliwan Takedown device before going back upstairs and began pacing in front of his room next to the stairs. Was nice to see him out and about even though he almost ran me over at the bottom of the stairs.
OT: I’m on XB1 and getting the Maurice comments. Disappointed about the Wedding Invitation power and anoint limitations. Have 4 so far and have tested them on the Jack target. Uninspiring even with good Jakobs class mod buffs.

Everybody lacks humor in this game
Maurice is the only one that has a few funny lines (though repeating them 100 times became stale like everything else in this game)
And just like the Halloween event, they just recycled it… They buffed some random guns again and the one everyone was looking forward too they ignore?
I’m seriously questioning what the hell is going on at GBX… Are they trying to balance legendaries? Are they just throwing sh…at the wall? Do they even care?
Money wise i got my worth with this game… But i pretty much gave this game up allready and most likely will not continue playing any future BL games and nothing from GBX period
Please allow us to get the 300/90 and other anoints on the guns . The wedding invitation is the most perfect sniper rifle in the game but is missing some of the most vital anointments.
