Same here. Exact same problem. Also when I sell items at the vending machine it doesn’t display the proper tag until I sell one item. Then it shows the proper marks, trash or favorite.

Copying from another thread: Yes, this should be fixed quickly but I doubt about it. Tagging problem came with the latest update but sorting by type in the vending machines has been broken since the game’s release and they just do not care. I read that there are dedicated teams for various aspects of the game including UI. This particular group does IMHO horrendous job and the UI problems spoils the gaming experience for me - it is laggy as hell with major bugs.

Yup it’s affected me as well on PS4 after the latest update. Not a game breaker but certainly defeats the function’s purpose. I hope it gets fixed soon.

Thank you, i really hope they will act quickly and fix this, and the classification by “type” which don’t work at selling machine …
Also the Borderlands 2 / Pre Sequel, backpack organisation was better (with weapon type title ) helping to find quickly a weapon…

OR…or. Add “Pick up as Junk” to the pickup option. While you’re in there. Otherwise, same here. Same problem.

I just installed the patch for the bloody harvest this morning, but did not get to play until much later (ps4) and realized shortly after that I’m unable to switch between favorite and trash on my items in my backpack. I’m able to do so from my currently equipped stuff, and from a vendor menu. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes, actually. I noticed the same thing, I can do it with equipped items but not with backpack things.

Yup, it’s made collecting loot a bit of a pain as I can no longer mark things as trash after picking them up. Very frustrating.

You can still do it, but you either need to equip it, or do it via a vending machine/the bank.

But sorting by type is also broken in the vending machines so it is difficult to discern junk and valuable items there.

Yes, if you decide on not using your eyes 
Well, it’s easier to choose for example the best sniper rifle if you see all sniper rifles at one place without scrolling through list of random weapons. There are good reasons why sorting is present in the game.
