In TPS you favorited items, or didn’t. If they weren’t favorited, they would get sold when you hit the triangle (sell all on PS4). It does sound handy, and it is. But it is soooooo easy to miss an item and accidentally sell it. And you may not notice for some time. Beyond the time you could buy it back.

When I went from TPS to BL2, I noticed you had to explicitly mark an item junk for it to be sold. I thought it was kind of silly after my experience with TPS. For a while I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t sell anything, then I discovered marking it as junk. I became used to the habit of marking things as junk. I find it much safer. So I think there’s an argument for both ways. Regardless, I just try to be more careful not to sell things I want to keep.

As far as the marking bug. I wouldn’t mind it so much if items remained marked. It makes a tedious process that much more tedious.
