[Build] Jakobs Nisha - Level 70 with Eclipse/Eos Video

FYI I’ve found the best shield against Shadow-TP is an inflammable shield. I’ve had success with adaptive shields and a high level Prismatic Bulwark, but I recently found an Inflammable Turtle shield that makes him super easy. His most damaging attack is his incendiary laser–he just needs to connect once to burn you down–with an inflammable turtle shield you can stand right in front of him and laugh while you crit his eye.

I’m aware, In my testings while killing him on level 9 I was using an Inflammable Turtle shield. I don’t like switching items mid fighting and it really doesn’t work while fighting him because you don’t just fight him. All his little glitches and copies of himself all equally hurt you and having a higher shield to take the damage from them as well as him was much better than having the Inflammable Turtle shield.

When you do get a ps3 ill add you as well,

Let me start off with this: I honestly tried to let this go, even going as far as sincerely apologizing when new information on how Hot Lead works was discovered. I gave the benefit of the doubt that insane luck with the Hot Lead skill could attribute to being able to kill a boss faster than I could, and I withdrew my accusations against an individual who I had felt did something dishonest in a video that was posted on my thread here. I did not believe that I was mistaken in my claims against this individual, but regardless I took the given opportunity at that time to end the situation as it had spiraled out of control and was going nowhere. I understand some of you have no idea what I’m talking about, but for those of you who do know I am asking you to please hear me out this one last time.

Anyone who has read my responses in my threads should by now know how defensive I can get about my build, how adamant I am about my skill and weapon testing, and my general distaste for any constructive suggestions and criticism on any of my gear and weapon choices. For that I am sorry. I am sorry for the way I have hastily acted in the past and I hope that you can believe that I have changed and will continue to strive to move past my rash and hot headed responses to what people have to say here in the forums.

Let me state this now, so that there is no confusion. I am not trying to start a pissing match or a war of any kind. It is not my intent to ruffle feathers or blacken anyone’s eyes. All I am trying to do is state and show something that I have found as it pertains to Nisha and how someone is playing them. That is after all, what these forums are for.

With that in mind, I recently began video production on all of the farmable bosses in The Pre-Sequel’s story mode. I got some great footage of my build against the Invincible Sentinel, or so I had thought. After making a video, I did what I always do, and I went to go check out my competition of other Nisha videos killing the same boss. The first video I happened to come across was from the same aforementioned individual that I had made accusations against earlier in this thread for his video post. My first reaction to the video was complete shock. I couldn’t believe that they were able to achieve a 3 minute Invincible Sentinel kill but more than that, what struck me as odd was how unbelievably fast his shields seemed to melt away. It was astounding, and I was curious how they were able to achieve such a seemingly heroic feat. Needless to say I re-created the gear and build in the video down to the last detail so I could try it out for myself. You can imagine my disappointment when I fell far below the bar at achieving anything remotely close to what was displayed in the video.

I thought for sure maybe there was something I had overlooked, so I re-checked the build and the equipment but it was all identical. I then thought there must be some crazy high illegitimate damage being done in the video, surely that was it! But I was wrong with that thought as well. Upon slowing down the video to 1/4 speed thanks to YouTube’s functionality, I could see the max critical hits shown in the video I was comparing to. Upon testing the max crit damage of the build in the video to my identical setup of the same build and gear, I was getting the exact same damage numbers. I was completely confounded. Surely then I must have terrible RNG as it pertains to Nisha’s skills. That was the only explanation I had left until I noticed something quite strange in the video. I noticed something subtle in the way the shield melted, even while both Nisha’s pistols were reloading at 1/4 speed I noticed the Sentinels shields literally just melting away like a download on a T3 line. Now that was really confusing to me because as good as we now know Hot Lead is, on a boss like that its damage shouldn’t utterly destroy it. I tried to duplicate this effect, but I was unable to even come close to doing what was displayed in the video.

I thought to myself the only way his shields would melt like that is if you had a near 100% chance to crit so that every “spark” created a near endless string of sparks, thus giving the illusion that a massive DoT had been applied to the boss. I decided to watch the video in its entirety at 1/4 speed again, ready to make note of any non-crits I saw to disprove my theory. Sadly there were none to be found. Every bullet that was fired seemed to crit. In the entire video there was not one non-critical hit. I questioned how that was possible, and noticed that even when the bullets that were ricocheting from trick shot were hitting the little minions that a spray of purple critical hits surrounded them. The incredible thing that I noticed is that this was happening regardless of whether or not there were kill skills active at the time of firing or bullets hitting their target. Somehow the skill Tombstone was activating seemingly 100% of the time even with no kill skill. Realizing that, I know that I can’t compete with that video, but that’s ok. That must have been a coding error of some sort that happened be in the favor of the lucky individual who recorded that video, unbeknownst to them.

I decided after seeing that video I would take another look at the video this person posted on this thread, the video that I originally made accusations against them on, because after all I was the one who had claimed that it was not legitimate. I was curious to see if perhaps I could have been mistaken, so I decided I would watch the Eclipse/EOS video in its entirety at 1/4 speed just like I did with the Invincible Sentinel video. I was hoping that I would notice something that could shine some light on how Eclipse was able to be dismembered so quickly.

I wasn’t able to notice anything new when they were fighting Eclipse, but when EOS’s minions came out and started being blown to bits I was seeing some rather extraordinary large crits. I wrote all the damages down that were clearly visible in the video, from smallest to biggest, both crit and non-crit. I then re-made the build and equipment in its entirety, with 100% certainty after double checking I indeed had everything exactly as it was in the video, and I set off to go blow up some minions just like in the video! Yay! Pew pew pew! Hm, where are my big crits? My max crits I was getting were three times less than the ones I saw in the video, and my max non-crits were three times less as well.

I concluded that something was wrong and was again disappointed, but more than that I was really upset with myself for missing this back when all of the drama was going on and I was being told “Prove it, prove it! Show us a screenshot of obscenely large crits.” Well at the time I was so focused on how fast Eclipse had died and I couldn’t make out any really easily noticeable damage being done with a Flayer to Eclipse that I completely dropped the ball on even considering watching the minions die. How could I have been so blind? Well that is what blinding rage will do to you apparently, makes you miss silly little things that should be so clearly obvious.

At any rate, I must apologize for the lengthy post this is becoming, I just wanted for once to articulate myself in a manner that was not only clear and precise, but full of minute details. I realize up to this point I haven’t actually said anything really meaningful or enlightening, and in fact I haven’t even bothered to display any hard evidence of things I have said that I found. I do have screenshots of still frames from the Eclipse/EOS video in question. I have attached them below. The file names of the screenshots contain the play time in the video, so that way after seeing the screenshots it will be easily possible to refer to the video to verify their validity.

I will also show screenshots of my testing of the build, showing the maximum crit damage I was able to achieve. You of course can just refute my screenshots saying that I am biased and have clearly cherry-picked a small handful of screenshots to show you just what I want you to see, to make my proof that much more believable. While it’s true that is something I could do, I will say now that I have not done that. Any single person reading this can do what I have done, that is make the build, throw on the same equipment and go out to battle glitches in between the EOS’s phases, and see for yourself my screenshots are without a doubt the 100% guaranteed legitimate truth of the builds maximum potential.

Of course I don’t expect anyone to believe me. The vast majority of responses I seem to get when I make these posts is people dismissing or ignoring what I put forth as evidence. Regardless, I am giving this my final stand to which I hopefully will succeed in helping the truth will out. All I ask is to please keep an open mind, and review the evidence from a non-biased position.

As always though, the best and most accurate way to verify what I am claiming is to go out and test things for yourself.

Again, bear in mind that there is no intent for a war. There has been no name calling or even name dropping in this post. It is my hope that you reading can draw your conclusions of the events I have put forth here, and either agree with them and say that I am correct, or find some conclusive evidence to the contrary.

Without further ado, below are the screenshots of the abnormally large crits and non-crits in the video of mention, as well as my own from my testing. Keep in mind these are the highest, and the lowest damages that were done, not just all of the big maximum damages. You can reference the video these screenshots are from here. Please note that if you go to this link it will take you to the video of the individual whose videos I have been speaking about, and I have no way around their name showing up there as it is a link to their YouTube video.

Below are the screenshots of my duplication of the build testing against the same enemies just like in the video.

Hopefully if nothing else comes of this post that it will at least make the Guinness Book of World Records for longest post in a thread ever! But seriously if anyone finds anything in this post to be offensive I sincerely apologize and I have no problem deleting anything that is found to be unsuitable or unacceptable.

If anyone is still reading this I just want to say thank you for taking the time to get this far down the post. This is something that is really important to me and I want to make sure you know I am appreciative of your time, regardless of your opinion on the matter.

I encourage anyone who is willing to please test what I have tested. If you come up with results like in the video in question then please show me and let me know what it is I could have missed or did wrong. There is always the possibility there was an error made on my part and if so I need to know what it is I overlooked. Hopefully there will be a few willing to test and double check for me so we can figure this thing out for certain this time.

Again thank you for taking the time to read through what seems to be a never ending story. And as always I look forward to the many joyous and heartfelt comments yet to come.

Very thorough. I like the attention to detail. I am curious what comes of this as well. I don’t have the time to put in for testing unfortunately, or I would be happy to help.

Like threads on the Gearbox forums, so are the pages of our replies.

Thank you, I am really curious too on how this will work out. And I really do hope there will at least be a few who are willing to put forth a little testing time on this. Don’t worry about not being able to test as I know there are others that have the capabilities to do so that may be inclined to give it a go.

The pepperbox is the one of the last Jakobs pistols I have yet to acquire, it’s looks so awesome! Not having great luck in that regard :frowning:

I found the best way to get easy high level glitched weapons is to complete the mission right at the nexus fast travel that costs you 200 moonstones and you get to open that chest with 3 glitched weapons in it. just save your game when the mission says “turn in” then just load in another player with yourself and they can grab the glitched guns. You exit the game without saving and it will force their character to save, so they keep the guns, and you still have the mission at the “turn in” point. Rinse and repeat. Hope this helps

Thanks, I will try that  Got my luck cannons, Maggie’s with luneshine, glitched dastardly iron. Once I get a pepperbox I can call my Nisha pistol slot good to go.

You forgot to mention the Rod, Slapper, Hand Cannon, Injector, and Hole Puncher for your Nisha’s pistol slot.

Collect the whole set!

Nisha’s pistol slot just isn’t the same without Torgue.

Well the Slapper is one of my favorite pistols, I used to love throwing like 2 cryo grenades at Iwajira and killing him with the Slapper’s before showdown ended, glorious

Added a few new links to videos at the top of the thread, the pepperbox video as well as this new one in the Mutator Arena, w/ harder spawns of enemy waves.

I even show off in the video how the Laser Disker makes it much easier to get up from Fight For Your Life.

Added 8 new alternate weapons to the build, been meaning to do this for a while now but I’ve been so busy other things lately I hadn’t had time to test all the weapons to see if they should be added to my Alternate Weapons list for the build.

Sooo… Check em all out! And please press the like button for my build at the top of this thread if you like it and maybe just forgot to click the like button!, I’ve made tons of changes and am always adding more to make it worthy of being like-able

I do like the glitched hard slapper, need to find one at level cap

You know you’ve been playing Borderlands too long when you can talk about Nisha’s pistol slot and a Hard Slapper in the same sentence without breaking character.
