That Crack shot nova on anything that is killed while you have one bullet spent…it works with all guns right ?
How does it work with OFEOY ?
Does it only consider the main hand ?
Both ? At all ?
also, do you happen to know how powerful that Nova is ?
And is the Nova’s damage dependent on how many points you have in the skill or is it static and more points just increase the gun bonus ?
Outside of specialized builds like yours, it would make sense to consider cryo grenades (which is what I usually carry) to be a prime source of explosive damage if all it takes is points in Crack shot.

@boombumr is correct, I explained it in my Crack Shot break down in the Major Skills section.
Yes it works with all guns. Bullet, splash, or bullet & splash.
The nova does the same damage no matter how many points you have invested in the skill.
The nova’s base damage is 15,164. But…
- On non-shielded enemies (which with this build most enemies never have shields up)
- With cryo (again enemies are cryo’d 99% of the time)
- My 394% crit damage (basically always active too)
- And Tombstone (66% of the time)
My novas now do 449,460 damage 66% of the time and 45,492 damage 34% of the time.
It only triggers when something is killed with the main hand’s first bullet. And any damage during the shot after the first shot. The off hand’s “Crack Shot” doesn’t trigger a nova and nor does the damage after the first shot.
However OFEOY’s novas are twice as powerful so 30,327 damage. This may be a glitch or its probably 2K’s way of balancing how CS works with OFEOY since the off-hand can’t proc novas.

Yes you could and it to would be effective. But CS is the icing on the icing on the cake with this build, so focusing on it would’t be the best way to try and optimize this build.
Don’t get me wrong it would still be very strong, but you would miss out on a lot of good stuff with that set up.

That’s the thing: I wouldn’t!
I’m already toting cryo grenades and specced in CS most of the time.
Totally different build, I know. But that part of the build is very easy to export to other builds
Using only that part requires almost no changes to what many people are already using.
Of course, it has natural synergy with your build for many reasons, but it’s still a worthy inclusion in many others.

Totally true. I just automatically looked at it from a grenade only build POV.
I run a Vladof Cryo on all my other Nishas except when I run a CoE, then I use a Quasar.
