I did rewrite of the OP hope it’s up to everyone’s standards.
Hello! I like the concept of using the Nurse COM to get necessary healing without spending too much points in the Harmony Tree. I do have some suggestions, though.
-
If you run this on OP8, you can move 1 point from Helios to Immolate. In my opinion, maxed Immolate does more than maxed Helios, and the main use of Helios is quick lifesteal from Life Tap / Moxxi which you don’t have. However, if you’re running this on OP0, Helios wrecks face and it’s fun to see bandits die in one phaselock without even shooting them.

You can also try speccing into Flicker instead of Helios, to increase the chances of slagging with your Slagga. Or you can try using other slagging weapons like a Pimpernel (which has higher slag chance but low fire rate so it’s harder to slag a group without phaselock).
Please take note that these suggestions are purely based on personal preference. You can just ignore this if you’re completely satisfied with the build
Funny you should mention that, I have been thinking about doing away with Helios in exchange for 5/5 Immolate and 4/5 Flicker since as you said Helios doesn’t do much on OP8 and that’s mostly what I play. I’ll update the picture and link in a few.
His build certainly worked well when he jumped into my game with it- Krieg and I say thanks BTW…
Assuming this is a Nurse build with coop purposes, you should remove Sub Sequence, because it’s counter productive with Res as you have to wait SS to end before being able to Res your teammates
This^
Which in turns allows you to put a few points into lifetap, probably the best thing Maya has to stay alive.
For a build resulting in this ? :

But it could be redundant a bit with COM’s Regen…
If more DPS is needed, I would go for this :

Sweet release is probably better than sustenance, so I would switch 4 points from the later to the former. (sweet release can also heal allies, it’s very versatile)
I know but I like Sub-Sequence it works very well for me with Converge and ruin for Slagging
SS can be great in a nursing build, you should be able to keep your teammates alive and all the SR is huge, as well as all the agro relief from a lot of converge and a ton of slag so your teammates DPS goes up if they don’t have to swap to slag.
Also I’ve had life tap before and while it is a very useful skill, the sound it makes drives me insane which is why I dropped it.
I don’t even notice the sound anymore unless someone mentions it
I didn’t want to focus on the nurse aspect so much as I wanted to use the COM to help fill in the blanks in the Harmony tree without spending a ton of points to get the health perks I wanted
Edit: Spending 5 points to get over 5/5 on 4 skills sounded like a good way to the the most bang for my buck
I do that with my build with mind’s eye and accelerate both to save 8 points and I put 4 in 2 other skills for a total of 10 saved points.
I see so often that people think they have to max every skill boosted by a com to 10/5 in stead of 6/5 and use those points in other places.
The only reason I have 10/5 into Suspension is so I could move further down the motion tree. I didn’t want Accelerate because I use the Bekah and Kinetic Reflection just doesn’t do it for me
Sub-sequence is also best with 10/5 Suspension.
All the skills I’ve chosen work very well together and make a very solid build. The best thing about it is, it is what works best for me.
Nice setup! The only thing I would change is Flicker. With Sub-Sequence procing constantly Helios can be a nice add to your Phaselock damage output.
Or even Blight Phoenix.
I just want to give some props for this build. I’ve been teaming with a no-Moxxi Brawn-zerker, and this was a really great setup to pair with his at Level 72.
Since I didn’t have a Big Boom Blaster or any Fastballs, I used an Evolution to raise my health pool and a Corrosive Cloud to go with the Bone of the Ancients.
The combination of Coverge/Ruin/Subsequence was kicking ass all over Pandora, and the 10/5 in Suspension was letting me proc that combo six or more times per lock with little effort. Which, of course, also gave us a metric boatload of Sweet Release.
I felt super tanky even without Lifetap, Sal was loving all the regen, and the damage output was great. First time I’ve had fun with the Legendary Nurse mod in a long while!
Thanks for the positive feedback. I was curious if anyone has even tried and liked it, now I know.
