I’m not that familiar with DOTA. I’ve played it and I’ve watched others play it on Twitch, but for a lot of reasons I could never get into it. The two biggest reasons being; I don’t care for top down video games and I do most of my gaming of PS4. I never even thought about drafting Battleborn, though I will now.

My favourite Team build? Hm…
Benedict.
And… That’s it. It’s enough. Best team EU.

imagine the chaos of 5v5 everyone playing as Benedict

MURICA EXPLODE!! FLY NUKES BOOM! well it would just be A LOT of chaos

Gearbox’s server would divide by 0.

A few teams off the top of my head:

Shield Hate+Love
Reyna + Attikus + Kleese + Shayne & Aurox
You get all da Shields, your enemies will be left naked. (Dem Eldrids tho)
Last member could probably be Healer or attacker.

Dark Ally Trio
Miko + Ambra + Montana
I wouldn’t want to be caught against this set-up, NOPE.

Trapped and Slapped
Ghalt + Orendi + Kelvin
With Ghalt and Kelvin limiting an enemy’s movements, they’ll be sitting ducks for those Double Shadow fire Pillars.

Well if I were ever able to get 5 people to play battleborn, I’d go for this nicely balanced team (on meltdown):

Montana
Having a ranged tank on your team really is invaluable. I watched the Insomnia56 battleborn tournament on YT, and in almost all (if not all) of the matches, the Montanas on the teams were doing tons of work. Good for soaking up damage and takes out enemy waves effectively.

Galilea
No multiplayer gameplay of Galilea yet, but I’m guessing she’ll be pretty good for countering melee characters with her passive leeching, stuns, and general tankyness. She would be on the front lines, controlling the minion pathways and making sure that if the enemy team comes in, they’ll be fighting an uphill battle. Not only that, but from the little gameplay we have of her, it seems her damage is quite good as well.

Miko
I was torn between Ambra or Miko, but really, when you have tanks like Montana and Galilea lined up, it was a no-brainer. Ambra’s burst healing is good, but Miko’s healing rate just can’t be beat, even if it’s only on a single target. Miko would be following the two tanks on the team around and making sure that they stay alive, and occasionally healing the others if need be.

Whiskey Foxtrot
I’m almost sure Whiskey Foxtrot will be able to put out some pretty insane DPS. The shrapnel cannon, sticky bombs, overloading, it all lines up. Whiskey will be roaming the lanes and taking out any enemies he comes across, clearing the way for our minions and making sure they enemy can’t defend theirs.

Mellka
Finally, Mellka- I wanted a low-maintenance character that could fend for themselves and heal themselves so Miko can stay on the tanks. Mellka is good for DPS and with her poison, she can ambush enemies and force them to retreat. Great DPS, and along with Whiskey Foxtrot, they can clean house.

Though if my username doesn’t make it obvious already, I really wanna play on a team with Kleese. But that’s another team combination for another day.

I’m real happy to see the big guy finally get some love. :dukecheese:

I need more friends😳

Meltdown Team:

  1. Galilea: Pusher. Anti-healer and front line pusher. She’ll have problems finishing opponents off, but damaging enemies into retreat will win games as well.
  2. Toby: Defender. Toby wants the high ground, but can also push and cover lanes through negating cover bonuses, buffing Montana with more attack, speccing for invisibility sight, and excelling at wave clear.
  3. Caldarius: Farmer. Potentially the fastest shard farmer in the game, capable of running deep into the enemy territory to take theirs as well. Can alternatively spec more into the damage Helix if needed, as say an Anti-Sniper or Flanker.
  4. Miko: Healer. Miko’s healing is needed for deeper front lines. Taking the front lines further means less access to Healing Stations.
  5. Montana: Defender. He’s extremely good in Meltdown, but suffers when handling melee flankers. The other team members compensate for this weakness through territory control, mobility, and CC.

Looking to form an Esports team for battleborn. I am thinking a hyper aggressive team comp would be good as long as the other team does not have more than a character or 2 with hard CC. Push the enemy out of the lanes.

Toby + Orendi

You may look at that and not see the synergy, but it is there. Orendi is tiny, extremely mobile mod-range. She goes crazy doing her whole murder thing while Toby plays angel of death watching over her.

The combination is great, and can murder anything within seconds. Orendi can escape back to Toby thanks to her mobility for some shield/healing while he lays down extra supreasion and arc mines in the way of the would be murder.

Plus we all know Orendi has a thing for him.

PvE:

  1. Galilea: Melee Dps/Off-Tank
  2. Ambra: Dps/Heals
  3. Reyna: Ranged Dps/Support
  4. Kelvin/Attikus: Tank/Melee Dps
  5. Toby: Crowd Control/Ranged Dps

PvP:

  1. Ambra/Toby: CC
  2. Galilea/Attikus/Caldarius: Pusher
  3. Miko: Healer/Dps
  4. Marquis/Thorn: Attack Support
  5. Reyna/Kleese: Defence Support

As you can see, I have a few favorites

Devil’s Threesome…

I don’t think you know what that is.

I look forward to playing as Attikus with both Toby and Galilea, they make enough front line chaos for me to capitalize on moments of weakness. Obviously need a couple good support classes with it, preferably Miko and Reyna.

Here’s a few theorycrafted (and possibly BAD) teams I have came up with:

Oscar/Whiskey/Miko/Ambra/Reyna - SUPER support with the Clones.

Miko/Reyna/Any tank/Any Ranged Attacker/Any Melee Attacker - Shields and Health on tap for that Tank while covering most ranges.

Any Support/Phoebe/Caldarius/Orendi/Thorn or Marquis - Support & Co. The support will have A LOT of work to do but that range domination will prevent most people from sticking their necks out.

Marquis or Thorn/Any 2 Melee Attacker/Ambra/Reyna or Kleese - Basically this is meant as a “hold your ground” team with the Supports bouncing between sides to provide both Shields and Health and a Sniper to provide overwatch for the Melee guys (or girls!).

S&A/Benedict/Oscar/Deande/Any Support - The “I never saw them coming!” team. Lots of invisibility and misdirection to get behind and pincer the other team.

Like I said these could be really, REALLY bad in practice but should be really fun to play regardless.

Necro, with a post beta update…

The Fearsome Foursome aka Real tanks carry their shield and have a pocket Miko.

-Galilea: sustain
-Boldur: carry
-Isic: tank/carry
-Miko: mushroom headed healing machine

The fearsome foursome is only for pros because of the teamwork needed to pull it off but if done correctly it is nigh unbeatable. The idea is to use a health sustaining Galilea and a fast Boldur to protect an Isic from interrupts while he is in cannon form. All three are then supported by a mushroom headed Miko intent on making them all unkillable.

The Devil’s Threesome aka All clones have the same crush.

-Oscar Mike: skirmisher
-Thorn: sniper
-Whiskey Foxtrot: sustain

Thorn can’t help it that her bow skills bring all the clones to the field. She plays up front hot and heavy with Oscar Mike until like most men in her life he disappears when the going gets tough. Leaving her to hustle back to Whiskey Foxtrot to hold down the field. A little Whiskey can go a long way. And she doesn’t consider it ‘kill stealing’. She thinks of them as ‘gifts’.

The Gruesome Twosome aka Nerf that $h!t.

Ambra: #2 Pubstomper (nerfed fom #1)
Galilea: #1 Pubstomber (#2 before Ambra nerf)

Capable of generating salt by the metric ton Ambra and Galilea were the undisputed queens of beta. Though coordinated team play highlighted demonstrable weaknesses in both Galilea and Ambra this mattered little in the chaotic, poorly matched lobbies of open beta PVP where the two dominated nearly any combination of heroes played by people who never played the game before.

In PvE campain you can have 5 players:

  1. A healer for the whole team.

  2. A person with Shield Repair for the Whole Team.

  3. A person Who Regenerats Shards for turning things on.

  4. A long range Attacker to thin the masses out.

  5. A croud control Charator for short to medium dammage.

Neat, I wanted to try Toby anyway and we´ve a badass Galilea at disposal

I think a Reyna, Kleese, Ghalt, Deande/Phoebe, and Shayne & Aurox would have great synergy especially when paired with gear that expands the shields of at least Kleese and Phoebe/Deande.

Why?

Kleese can set up a network of rifts that can fry anyone. If Ghalt sets up a trap in the field, he can pull in unsuspecting Battleborn and stun them. Shayne & Aurox can also drag people in as well. Death is almost instantaneous. Kleese and Phoebe/Deande can spec into putting shields into mortars/burst dash/blade rush. Reyna’s overshield factors into the extra shield for the bonus damage. They can be over-shielded before attacking and if necessary run back into the network for quick shielding. You can sub out Shayne & Aurox if there is a need for more range(Ghalt is more necessary because he has CC with the ability to drag people in and Shayne and Aurox players have to decide between the two). Marquis and Isic are good for this Because they can sit in the field and just spam sniper fire/omega strike to supress.
