Just bring El Dragon in the Algorithm mission, and you’ll discover some very nice backstory.
Props to GBX, I will be looking foward to which heroes to bring in order to discover more of their pasts.

Huh. I knew there were several different lines of dialogue so give the missions a bit of replayability but I had no idea they had dialogue unique to certain characters. That’s interesting and pretty neat!

Its a good note to those who may not know!
A pretty good way to hear this feature in action is during the Void mission where you’re escorting the sentry. At the part when Wolf asks what everyone is doing after the mission, it seems to randomly select one character and play their response. And occasionally during missions at certain points, depending on if you have a character, new dialogue will pop up!
For example, in the Algorithm mission. I mainly play as Phoebe so I’m unsure if it works for other characters, but when you jump down to the portion with the lava before the jump pads, there’s a bit of dialogue that comes out and goes something like this:
Kleese: “Phoebe, if you die, I want you to know that I’m keeping all your tools.”
Phoebe: “NOT IF I KILL YOU FIRST, KLEESE!”
Probably slightly misquoted but the main point is across.
Yeah, the Wolf sentry asking what everyone is doing is rather funny. And there is continuity between them too.
My nephew was playing as Thorn, did the mission and it was her answering him with “I’ve got book club with Montana.”
Later I did the same mission, had a Montana on my team and he answered with “Having a drink in your honor…oh yeah and book club with Thorn!”
I love the dialog changes makes every playthrough seem a little different.
I believe I’ve heard one where Wolf is about the laser down the door, Kleese tells him not to, but if you have Benedict, he’ll yell something about how awesome it will be if he does it!
phoebe rath and benedict were kind of funny. and orendi digging through your guts for the goodstuff

phoebe also has some special dialogue in issacs campaign. i really like her personality
