Campaign should have been borderlands style shoot and loot

Theres enough space on a blue ray disc & enough power on the PS4 or a PC to do that…thats no excuse. Story mode feels short changed & lazy. PVP is soooo unbalanced , it’s not even funny. have to give them a break since this is the first time Gearbox does PVP but why short change the story mode?

a full battleborn borderlands story and level up and shoot and loot experience with moba style pvp. they should have kept them(pve and pvp) seperate or only tie in certain points between the two. but these characters would be so fun to level up and gear up borderlands style. from healers to melee to flying rocket hawks. i would really enjoy a boderlands style campaign diablo style shoot and loot game with some of these characters mechanics. could have been something so much bigger then just a moba. feel free to expand on this idea. im just not sure how i would tie in the pvp or pve together or would it all be seperate? kind of defeats the purpose of playing one or the other? but rath as a borderlands all melee character just seems awesome. maybe have seperate gear and skill trees for pvp and pve but keep the look of gear you have found into pvp matches to keep the balance?

I couldn’t disagree more.
I prefer playing this with Random people so much more than in Borderlands.
But then again I prefer this to Borderlands. All of them.

I would think those involved with the creation of said characters would disagree on that, a lot of work (and late nights) go into creating content, but i know what you meant

IIRC Battleborn was like the first Hero/Arena Shooter announced, and while long time Gearbox fans were trying to figure out exactly what it was, other developers started announcing their own spin on character driven multiplayer including Blizzard’s Overwatch. There’s also been a few games that came out as multiplayer only that ended up feeling incomplete because they lacked a campaign, heck I would be all over a story mode for Overwatch, but because there isn’t, I don’t really want to play it at all. Whether any of these things had an impact on Battleborn’s development is anyone’s guess, but I am glad they decided to offer some level of campaign. It’s nice to know that if matchmaking is coming up empty (which is kinda the case atm…) or if I keep getting matched with terrible players, I can always start up a solo mission and play by myself.

Nah… I came to Battleborn because I absolutely love the Borderlands series, but I love Battleborn because it give me/us a different yet refreshing take with the gameplay.

It reminds me of “old school” FPS like TimeSplitters and Perfect Dark, where you would replay levels so many times because each difficulty brought something new or you wanted to unlock the cheat.

There’s always something to do, someone else to try in a mission, someone else to master, medals to get. Battleborn is great as it is.

AND! There are still so much more to come! Beside skins…
