Players can hit the critical spots of enemy players and NPCs. Dealing critical damage.
But can NPCs in PvE and PvP (like the minions, thralls and varelsi) crit players?

I believe so … @wisecarver’s always complaining about those pesky skaven, maybe he knows for sure.

Ha! The Scaven in advanced mode can definitely do more than 1900 damage instantly so maybe they do crit.
I’ve gotten much better with them but they still have a nasty habit of spawning and taking you out while you are fighting to the death with a Disruptor, or most likely a Veil walker on Sabo.

They can. There is an audio cue that plays whenever it happens. It’s a high pitched bullet sound (think plink, plink, plink).

Never noticed it.

There is this legendary gear that gives your turrets a chance to deal critical damage to an enemy.
Does that mean, on top of the randomness that projectiles travel, and can hit you in the face, that a non-face shot can crit you?

And in general this feels just random, because NPCs don’t aim for it.
Or do some NPCs aim for your head, like the minion snipers.

It’s called The Finiscian Wrench and in the most recent patch they changed the description text to clarify that it does not do crit dmg. Its legendary effect is a chance to deal 50% bonus damage. So the answer to your question is no.

While looking up the data on The Finiscian Wrench I remembered/found this little nugget. In their July 28 hot fix they, “removed an extraneous critical hit effect from minions”. So minions don’t crit anymore but PvE enemies still do. As for whether they are explicitly targeting your crit spot, I have no idea.
