So I am farming so this is a lot of save-quit happening. About 50% of the time when I get to the menu the Hotfixes applied sign will not appear. I’ve got the Ultraviolet neon sign, and all the erdium dust but no sign. I can wait as long as you want and it doesn’t happen. Often, but not always, when it doesn’t happen I have “big head” Zane even though my current Mayhem modifiers do not include big head mode n

Sounds like it’s periodically reading in stale cached data. Power reset to clear the cache, maybe? There’s also the reserved game storage, although I think that’s just for the update? Hard to tell what’s what on XB1 unfortunately.

Thing is this started as soon i I started the Xbox so it was power cycled.

Just powering the machine off does not clear the cache. You may need to do a hard restart. Another user here experienced persistent Big Head last night and they reported clearing the cache seemed to fix it for them. There’s a link to how to hard restart above.

As GrfxGawd said, simply turning the console off/on doesn’t clear cached data. That’s especially true if you’ve had game crashes recently. Fortunately, it doesn’t take long to do the procedure, and it’s much less disruptive than other solutions (such as a factory reset)!

I did the delete the local and hard restart and I still don’t consistently get the hot fixes applied sign at the start. Oddly though once in the game when I try and quit it doesn’t give me the “There are updates” dialog box so I have no idea if the Hotfixes are or are not applied.

If you don’t see the updates prompt, you’re probably good to go. I don’t know why the sign doesn’t reappear every time you get back to the main menu, although I believe it does have it’s own timer?

Yeah this is Yellowcake vs Traunt farming so it is a LOT of start-restart happening. Appreciate the help!

I’m unsure if mentioning this will be helpful in any way, but the sign, if you sit long enough disappears anyways. I liked that they added SOMETHING to indicate hotfixes applied, but it seems both a bit lazy, and so far proves at least sometimes ineffective.

Gearbox has full-time User Interface and User eXperience people. I wish they would allow those people to do their job and provide us with a better-implemented solution for informing us, well, about anything at that menu. Events. Hotfixes. Patches. Etc. (Especially something that provides information at the menu, instead of dragging us off to other locations. If you want us in the game, keep us in the game.)
