No gear should trivialize the rest of the items. And I’d hate to to see the subsequent bosses and DLCs balanced around the Bee oops, I meant the Porcelain Pipe Bomb.

Porcelain Pipe Bomb’s problem wasn’t addressed in today’s hotfix because it’s not a statistical problem, it’s a mechanical one. The PPB is creating a puddle effect, same as barrels, except that on large bosses it’s applying the damage rapidly because of… well, I’m not responsible for the game’s coding so IDK the exact cause, but it’s definitely the puddle effect.

Today’s hotfix was a simple tuning of a few knobs and dials. Nothing about the game’s code was actually changed, just a couple number tweaks.

Devs already confirmed the pipe bomb is getting a complete rework.

Good to know, thankts. I chose to tuck it awauy and use it only on the doube immunity annointed who are broken as well.

Hey, first of all, as an avid user myself of such item do agree that it is quite over-powered. Is not intended to do as much damage as it does. Figuring ways to abuse it (as all proper Borderlands players do  ) I’ve found its most effective when the character model is in a fixed animation that then forces the bomb inside of itself.

I theorize it might also have to do with the unspoken statistic that radiation damage supposedly has a nerfed slag effect (20-30% damage boost) on the subject applied too. My guess is that because all the child grenades should technically explode the instant, they get initialized that the radiation damage stacks and creates a 460 (avg corrosive damage/sec)dmg x 9 per grenade that all might stack. POINT IS. THAT’S A LOT A’ DAMAGE. they should .tweek the numbers to not completely destroy the gun economy and Guardian rank system cause even Graveward will give you about 40,000xp / min if you farm him correctly.!

idk all in all would probably be best if this wont forever be the end-game boss killer nade
