Can we get a cancel/switch character option in the character select screen?

I feel like this is much needed if you are solo queue also being able to cancel if you selected the wrong character would be nice. Right now after you pick your character you are pretty much set in stone. This can be frustrating if everyone on your team picks a melee character or you hav no support/healer and you want to change your character so your team will perform better.

If you agree please like and post your concerns, maybe we can get this added in if it gets enough attention, or find out why they don’t have this option available.

I experienced this desire too when I was solo queuing and I picked Orendi first and was joined by 3 Raths and a Marquis…needless to say that the Algorithm won.

I vote yes as well. If you get stuck with an under-levelled team using poorly equipped characters, then the game is over before it starts so being able to change characters mid-match would be really useful.

How were you joined by 3 Raths? Once a character is selected, other teammates can’t select that character, I thought…

That said, I could see this being implemented in solo queue, but it goes against the moba nature of the game, so I don’t look for it to happen. :frowning:

I actually would just like the option before the match starts, maybe add a prompt to change characters after everyone has selected but only give them like 10-15 seconds to change their choice.

You can pick the same character for pve.

If you create a private match you can pick the same character as well I think. It gives you the option to allow duplicates I believe. I’m not at home so I cant check.

There should be no way for salvation if you or your team have plaid bad (picked bad unbalanced team, fed with risky moves at beginning, not team working etc. Which affects your game). Mid game character change is not option in game like this.

This should be really obvious and I don’t know how so many MOBAs fail to implement a simple character select that shows what your teammates would like to play without locking the character. The whole team benefits when everyone can see eachother’s preferred choice which allows someone to stand down and pick again, while also allowing a good team makeup.
