I think part of the issue is that the build we’re both using isn’t one of the op builds everyone talls about, and they have to try to balance for those. It’s a fun build, just not game breaking, and that has become a flaw, sadly, because that is almost the norm now.
I’m with this. I think I died to 2 bosses one time each my first playthrough. Killavolt with his OP full floor shock at first, which I just learned to jump the next time around. And then the Katagawa ball, which I just learned to kite him around obstacles the next time around.
I too wish the bosses were harder.
No build is OP prior to level 50, in fact you shouldn’t really focus on a build until you are able to. You should put points where it helps 1st.
I would do this until you can get to your main build:
At level 20:
Armored Infantry: 5
Vladof Ingenuity: 5
Drowning in Brass: 5
Thin Red Line: 2
Desperate Measures: 1 (next 2 lvls go here)
Should wreck for a while with that if you want to try it. Those are Moze’s main damage and defense at low levels aside from IB long cool down which should be for emergencies.
I guess that’s another route, if they want to end up changing their build later on. But I’ll argue that missing Cloud of Lead is a mistake. Basically a 25% mag increase, plus the damage bonus is great for any build.
I started sor tree first when leveling moze. The only boss i had any problem with was agonizer. Once i learned his patterns it was easy. The bosses in this game are pushovers. They can be bullet sponges with anoying immune phases but dont need nerfs.
Especially the last boss. Supposed to be a big bad locked away power. The adds are more of a threat.
All else fails find an atlas q system from a vendor. Easy mode.
I think the issue was in finding a synergizing loadout and playstyle, not the boss difficulty or perks. I did the same build as them, focused solely on Bottomless Mags, and had the same experience. Still am.
Dont really need to worry about synergy at lv 20. A good loadout, yes. I leveled moze by just upgrading my q system. Didnt even use the tracer. The skulls can make leveling a pain. Focus on the red ones or they can outright down you.
Cloud of lead would spec in next, these points up the base damage 95-117%.
Keep in mind most of them are also situation dependent.
True
Great tips! And the neck…had not thought about that…good strategy.
I do like the faster firing weapons, always helps with second winds.
For second winds, you’ll have to get real close though, but the perks should help make sure you won’t have to waist precious time to reload.
Oh yes I know him. Pretty tough with the regen shield thingy, and hard to get at. Kept trying. I just happen to be at that point in the game when the nerf happened. Went back, he literally came right up to me and I took him down in a fairly short time.
That is where I am now, Katagawa ball. I tried a few times but could use some tips. I looked at the multiple levels of health and shield and thought…this is gonna take a while…
Elemental weapons, of course, maybe keep some mailman weapons you find along the way. Take cover and try to snipe with those. And amsave Iron Bear for when you’re about to be downed.
Hmm…I could try respecing…if this is a good level 20 plan for Moze.
Hide behind the pipes along the wall. He cant hit you and you can pop out and whittle him down.
I want this!! Umm…what is it? (shield, gun, grenade,?)
Some of them were tough but in no way do they need to be easier.
Basically color match the elements and hide behind the big objects in the arena moving constantly.
