Most specifically, I am talking about equipping multiple shard generators or multiple buildables reduced cost wrenches, but can you equip multiple duplicate gears of ANY type?

You cannot, the closest you can get to that is to equip one of that type and 2 epic/legendary with the same secondary effect.

and please note that using the above is EXTREMELY viable for some things,

doing an all build cost reduction I ended up with almost 60% cost reduction

shield penetration I ended up with about 41% total from gear

shard generator wasn’t impressive to me, only like 4 or so a second

The answer is no, the real question is why you would bother to ask such a basic question without simply trying it yourself first?

This isn’t the first time you’ve opened a thread with a question that is already answered in game descriptions.

You can’t equip the same TYPE of gear in multiple slots, but many items have secondary stats that overlap with the primary on others.

For example you can gets bonus shards as a secondary on some shield batteries.

It’s a bad / lazy habit on my part.

BUT - oftentimes it is because I am away from home / my PS4 so I’ll ask the firuns rather than waiting a few hours to try it myself.
