Whenever my friend, or myself tries to join each other’s party we get the message “Connection Failed—Could not connect to host.”
Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Any ideas on what the issue is or how to fix it?

Having the same issue here. I thought it could be a router port issue. So I tried forwarding the Battleborn and PS4 ports to a static IP address. No luck. Didn’t have my friend do it though. We both have Nat type 2 connections and are playing online just fine… aside from grouping up then queing for a match we eachother. Frustrating and sad. Over half the reason to pay full retail for this game.
Your story is exactly my story. Almost to a T.
I have a question. Are you guys able to join a psn party, and voice chat with each other? When we try it, we get a message saying it is not working, and might be a nat issue. Once again, though, we both have Nat 2’s.
I am going to continue to try a few things and talk to my ISP tomorrow. I might end up trying to talk to PSN support.
This… is… probably… super dumb of me:. I desgnated my ps4’s IP as a DMZ? Solved. but not the way I wanted to do this. Please advise.
Oh! Grouping up in a PSN party was fine, voice and all. Partying up in the Battleborn lobby would connect for a moment and then disconnect, or it would straight up not connect. Occasionally giving me a NAT type message.
I don’t think you have too much to worry about when the ps4 and dmz, since there aren’t likely any attacks that are going to attempt to come through it. That’s what I’ve read about it.
I’ve attempted such things myself, but to no avail. I’m glad to hear someone managed to connect with their friend.
We managed to party up in Overwatch just fine, but the lobby system they use must be quite different from Battleborn’s.
