I wasn’t trying to be snarky :stuck_out_tongue: just clarifying because I have had no such issues. But! I also have been loving chaos rumble. I haven’t had so much fun in a moba since URF in league years ago.

Good for you.

On PC, literally everything is almost dead right now, except Chaos Mode. I wanted a good weekend with a lot of time to play, sadly its not working out. I tried to change my download region and stuff, but nothing worked. Maybe i should quit from the game for a few days, leave it to rest a little bit.

It’s only temporary and should end soon (unfortunately for me). Things should improve then.

I was saying exactly the same in another thread nearby. Same feeling for me. It’s fun, and don’t get me wrong, I don’t disagree with the idea of the chaos rumble mode. That is, as long as I’m not forced to only play that. As long as I can still play normal modes when I want to. Which isn’t the case on PC anymore.
The amount of players connected at the same time has dived again since that mode, and it was already alarmingly low. Now the new record is less than 200 players at the same time.

Yes, exactly. My only complaint is that im forced to play CR. I installed LIMBO, so overall i can avoid the frustration caused by this mode…
Btw, the peak players on PC in the last 24 hours was 620 players, not 200.

Nothing prevent you to vote for a incursion map in chaos rumble.

You can play something that isn’t incursion for once lol,why complain about it.

you realize that an incursion on chaos rumble is EXTREMELY different from an incursion in normal mode, right. shared chat and no limit in heroes duplicate makes it awfully unbalanced AND improper to any strategy talk with your teammates. It’s fine because it’s fun from time to time, but NOT as the whole game itself . There’s a reason for which BB wasn’t allowing duplicate to begin with. The devs themselves are perfectly aware that this ruins any form of balancing and added that mode for those who want to have fun without caring about this. The problem is, on PC, you almost ONLY have that mode as the whole game right now.
Also, incursion is barely selected in chaos rumble. Voting yourself for that won’t change other peoples’ vote. Especially if the incursion map is echelon…

I have been enjoying Chaos Rumble and being able to play both meltdown and incursion is pleasant but the capture maps only feel fun when I’m on the winning team. With the other game modes if I’m behind I can farm shards, build deployables and visit the thrall camps but the games I’ve played of Outback have been pretty dire. We got lumbered with an opposing team consisting of about 4 Galilea and an Alani. We just got shield stunned and ganked. Some of the games have been hilarious but that game wasn’t fun.

Chaos Rumble is the sort of thing it would be nice to have on a regular rotation as a change of pace but getting shoehorned into the game mode due to the feeble player base is already grating with some people.

Once the novelty wears off, chaos rumble is simply a way of taking all of the balance issues and matchmaking woes of this game and magnifying them. It’s only going to be fun for the OP team stomping the crap out of newbies and the very rare match that somehow ends up relatively balanced.

I often find myself on a team of mixed levels, maybe a couple of hundreds and then a mix of mid and lowbies. And quite frequently it ends up with a normal looking team, with nobody doubling up on characters. I think the reason is that less experienced people are going to pick something they actually have some experience playing and understand.

Then you get matched against premade groups of hundreds that are running comps–all Boldur, all Ghalt, mixtures of Deande and Pendles, etc. And usually these people vote for capture maps where they proceed to slaughter the other side. It’s a farce. You go into one of these matches and it really becomes a boring waste of time.

The game has problems and, instead of addressing them, the devs pour gasoline on the fire. The sooner this crap ends, the better.

I’d love to have a mode where players are able to pick random levels from different modes WITHOUT multiples of the same characters.

They tried that with casual/competitive mode, didn’t go well. People didn’t like not being able to choose their mode, and adding any mode without taking something away only splits up the population even more and leads to longer wait times. I’m worried about face off, sounds awesome but another mode is longer wait times for the other modes, especially on pc with their tiny population.

At least you like Chaos Rumble. I don’t (The only thing i like is the All-talk)
So i literally have to wait between 20 to 50 minutes before i get a game. Or suffer in Chaos Rumble.

And at some hour, it’s not even possible to play normal modes, at all.

If anything, BattleBorn ruined Chaos Rumble! Now we que up for chaos rumble and a team votes for incursion and plays a bog-standard try-hard team comp while everyone else is 4 benedicts and a miko :frowning:

The funny thing is there’s more people complaining about queue times in the other modes than people actually playing the other modes…
On Xbox one the queue times are fairly good I get into meltdown and capture pretty often actually

JUST GOES TO SHOW, They should bring back casual and competitive play, I souly play chaoscause games take less than 2 minutes to start,

Really enjoying Chaos Rumble, wim or lose.

But, I can certainly see why some people wouldn’t.

However, if they were to turn off duplicate character selection, and not force a ā€œvote for a random map from each game modeā€ situation on us as OUR only choice, I think it would be perfect.

With Casual / Competitive, we were not given that choice.

The problem was the casual and competitive play distinction they implemented before was meaningless, at least on the pc. I would queue in the competitive section and have a mixed team of lowbies. Meanwhile in the casual queue, you were getting premade teams of 100s. I have no idea what was going on there, whether these people were trolls deliberately looking to roll noobs or if they thought it would pop faster or what. But the playerbase messed it up.

What they need is a casual solo queue that evenly distributes players, and a competitive queue that allows for premades.

It’s actually very interesting how evenly split people on these boards are about how they feel about Chaos Rumble mode…
