just wrapped up the console vs. pc damage numbers with cloud kill and no skills at all. just phase lock damage. numbers are on par with on another. cloud kill numbers are RNG based. Their is a random “splash” procing which increases the cloud kill damage numbers. Which is basically a smoky haze or mist initially, then the chance to have it “coat” or “splash” all over the enemy increases the damage numbers. I’ll post pics tomorrow. but nothing that would make me believe one is better than the other.

Thanks to my online backup service, I got access to Gaige at various points over the last few weeks (and had to get one to 72). So here are DT ranged attack damages against on-level taget dummy, no equipment, no skill points (except for DT, obviously) on PC.

Level 30

Level 50

Level 72

Here are some of the pics from testing Phase Lock alone, and then testing the DoT numbers from Cloud Kill. First at OP4 per @Jefe 's request. and then at OP0 or level 72, however you look at it…

OP4 just Phase Lock damage
No skills other than the first to unlock the ability to Phase Lock. No BAR, no Relic or any gear for that matter. I had no gear equipped. I took pics of that too for proof but forgot to upload them on xbox live.

Here is where I’m testing the DoT with Cloud Kill
I used a Non-Elemental weapon and tested body shots and crits, both of which yield the same results in terms of DoT numbers. This pic is the initial mist/haze that procs Cloud Kill DoT numbers. those numbers stay consistent until the “Splash/Coating” effect occurs. I"ll show those numbers just below this screen shot.

Splash/Coating effect

below is the skill selection used for this test…

skill selection for testing Cloud Kill

OP0/Level 72:

This is just Phase Lock alone damage at Level 72

Cloud Kill Damage this pic has a bit of the splash effect occuring. That is when you see 4 digit numbers instead of 3 digits.

Splash/Coating effect

So this is all xbox1 Console numbers. I also went to my PC and checked the numers for my own benefit. numbers are pretty much the same from what I noticed. the splash effect seemed on par with both platforms. I used the Bekah on Console and I used a Muckamuck on PC.

Edit: Here is a pic from PC at OP0/Level 72 showing Cloud Kill DoT with Splash effect occurring:

And here is from PC OP4 Cloud Kill DoT numbers with Splash effect occurring:

Double post on purpose, as this pic is the only anomaly, if you can even consider it an anomaly.

Console pic. Cloud Kill DoT numbers at OP0/Level 72
I’m posting this cause of the DoT number: 2680 thats in this pic. I never saw it go this high on PC when the Splash effect occurred and you see the 4 digit numbers. most of which are in the 1k range. this time it hit “2680” and I never saw that number or even close to it on PC. this is most likely RNG. I’m sure it can happen on PC, it just didn’t in the number of tried I attempted. but I thought I’d throw this in the mix, so-to-speak.

@Kurtdawg13 - any chance you got a 72 Gaige on console to compare DT ranged attack damage?

I do. I have all Characters at OP8 on Console/Xbox1. Not sure if I have much time to do testing however. it was hard for me to get this done last evening with the kiddos wanting my attention. I’m not the brightest bulb on the tree…so it’s hard for me to multi task in this manner. keeping my place when pulled away. my pics and uploads were all over the place and it made it difficult to post this morning. it took way longer than it should have. and that is just due to my being pulled away mid-task. coming back and hopefully picking up where i left off which wasn’t the case for me. lol I have toys to assemble, transformers to transform for my 5 year old. train sets to build.

I think it’s what they call priorities or something…
Kids, train set, Christmas… You’re good. I have this one covered.

Now just so I’m not accused of cheating…

The results are in… Gaige on console (PS4) @ OP0…:drum::drum::drum:

Console RULEZZ! :metal:

I know the feeling. My kids interrupted my OP8 venture into the Lair of Infinite Agony this morning. They’re taking a bit of break now, but earlier, my 8 year old daughter was playing with the missus while I helped the 4 year old with his LEGO.

Argh, so at least at 72, it looks like DT is doing 2.5x more damage on console vs PC.

I wonder now, if PS4 is any different from Xbox1?

When I get home today. I’m firing up the xbone and seeing what my Gaige does in these regards. More testing is needed! Kiddos will have to deal… lmao :laughing:

Edit: my numbers are the same as yours. :expressionless: I’m thinking the difference could be due to unlocking OP8.
Edit2: unlocking the op levels made no difference in DT damage numbers at OP0. Video proof is down below. Console is apparently better in terms of DT dmg(ranged attack). Melee wasn’t tested.

As if… lmao I’m not calculating anything. I’ll leave that to you brainiacs. I just play and take pics. Whimsy and murder! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I’m wondering if the difference in dmg numbers are due to OP8 level character playing at OP0 while the lower dmg numbers are due to not unlocking any OP levels yet?
Edit: question has been answered. didn’t make a difference.

Shouldn’t be. I’ve loaded Zer0 at each OP level to test Unforseen and got incrementally higher damage. That was a few months ago - I had forgotten I had done it!

That incidentally was the exact purpose of my original post. I’m actually about to load the game up (finally) to check Unforseen with my various Zer0s (which are at OP2, OP4, OP7 and OP8).

I’ll also check Cloud Kill at OP0, OP4 and OP8. Just to be 100% - your numbers are all from Xbox right?

Edit - just saw this :

Which numbers? OP0 Gaige? If that’s so that’s good - that PS4 and Xbox are the same.

She’s only OP1 but I get what you meant. According to @Rumplebunny test. ( post #18 )
He had the same results on his Axton turret on his “virgin” 72 than his OP3 (?) at OP0.

Confirmed again with OP8, OP4 and OP2 characters : Unforseen damage is the same at each OP level regardless of level achieved. And yes, no BAR, no relic, no COM, no other damage skills. The skill is spec’d at 5/5. And this is PC of course.

“Real Damage” is what the target dummy shows ; “Damage” is the actual damage that Unforseen does before damage reduction poops all over it.

LEVEL REAL DAMAGE DR% DAMAGE
OP8 3300K 55 7333K
OP7 3220K 50 6440K
OP6 3110K 45 5655K
OP5 2979K 40 4965K
OP4 3051K 30 4359K
OP3 3062K 20 3828K
OP2 3024K 10 3360K
OP1 2949K 0 2949K
OP0 2589K 0 2589K

Moral of the story : don’t play at OP5 :stuck_out_tongue:

We need an OP8 console Zer0 player!
@Sun_Tsunami Can you check Unforseen at 5/5 vs the target dummy at the various OP levels?
tl;dr : we’ve discovered that Deathtrap and Axton’s turrets do considerably more damage on console (compared to PC) - so trying to see if elemental skills are the same. Make sure you don’t spec Ambush.

unbelievable. @Stouty22 did a test for me and confirmed. he has his Gaige at OP8 and ran the test for me at OP0 to see if unlocking the op levels make any difference on what damage you can put out. Here is the test from Stouty. and thanks again buddy. much appreciated you jumping online to help me out with this.

this confirms that Console gets better damage numbers with DT than PC. wow! :hushed:

Edit: Here’s is my pic from Xbox1 DT testing at OP0:

Deathtrap damage from his “electric bolt” as the wiki calls it :

FORMAT LEVEL DAMAGE
PC OP0 59689
PS4 OP0 152K
XB1 OP0 152K

Axton’s turret :

FORMAT LEVEL DAMAGE
PC OP0 96033
PS4 OP0 196K
PC OP3 138K
PS4 OP3 290K

Hey @Kurtdawg13 : it looks like I get the exact same Cloud Kill numbers on PC

20181227220359_1

The first (OP0) is after about 2 seconds, then CK starts to “cook” and the numbers start to build like they do in the second shot (OP4). Anyways, same.
