I’m guessing you have already played Oscar if you have Whiskey but knowing a character’s abilities is vital to beating them. If you don’t know Oscar that well I would suggest play a few games with him to get to know him. The most annoying thing I find about Oscar (but i love it at the same time when I play with him) is invisibility with 30%+ move speed. He can get out of pretty much any situation before it hits him. A good player will know when the tide changes and escape with minimal loss. To counter him maybe try slowing him because in my experience whiskey will out dps oscar. Nonetheless a good player will always cause you trouble no matter what character.

That’s more or less what I’m looking to do now, but I also have a hell of a time winning as Attikus. I don’t know how he is supposed to survive but maybe if the rest of the team is good I can coast it with buildables and level up that way.

My problem isn’t killing him it’s FINDING him, there are 25 hero’s in the game and realisticly you can expect on average maybe people have 20-22 of them so it’s already a 1/4 chance, how ever Mike is also a really default character that most players grow out of quickly, in my experience if someone is over lvl 10 they will not pick him, most players average about 6 kills in a game ideally these would all be Mike but likely you won’t even find him most the game so you will be stuck at maybe one or 2 kills

All that is what I think every time I go into game at best I would guess I would have to play over 100 games to have a chance

Generally if you have a team of five in a public match, you win.

Don’t give up! is what I would say. I’ve played like 20 games or so in the last day or two and i’m 19/25. Personally I’d like these “kill specific characters” to also have an OR option which is get 50 assists. You know so you don’t feel like you’re losing out everytime when someone else kills him. Also try meltdown. I find its much easier to avoid other players and target him on those maps because hes either on one side or the other and its usually pretty easy to flank.

I’ve seen lots of Mike’s on the Xbox1, cloaky characters always seem to be popular in pvp games. Galalia has to kill Ambra 25 times and NO ONE plays Ambra anymore. The one time I did have her on the enemy team, my own team trolled me and stole the finishing blow SIX TIMES. Not fun at all.

Thorn’s PvP challenge is pretty yucky too, she has to kill players while airborne with volley, 20 times. Pure luck shots. Unless I am geared wrong I guess, lol.

For anyone who was frustrated with Galilea’s kill Ambra 25 times, good news! Now we have Alani’s kill Ambra 25 times as well.

Best part is, Alani also has a lore challenge where she has to play with Galilea 5 times.

I will be genuinely surprised if this isn’t some sort of a cruel inside joke between the developers.

This actually seems kind of ridiculous to me. If you kill every hero equal amounts of times, 1 in every 25 kills will be against Ambra, and you need 25 kills on Ambra, so theoretically, this should take around 525 kills as Alani to complete this lore challenge, and that’s not really fair. Rather than fixing the problem, they literally created the exact same challenge again.

Yep when I seen that challenge I lost all hope in them ever fixing these challenges

The only challenges I see that are causing issues are the kill specific character challenges, Toby’s “Killing on Rails”, and maybe Ghalt’s first blood. Ghalt’s aside, these kill specific are the biggest issue. You have to hope and pray the enemy will choose the character you need to kill and then hope you have an opportunity to kill them. The kill is very likely to get stolen by a team member or interference from the enemy team will cause them to escape. It’s all very luck based and at that point isn’t even a challenge anymore as much as a random occurrence. People end up bending over backwards and doing panicked, stupid moves to try and get these kills and often end up simply feeding the enemy team. The best possible solution for this is to make it so assists count towards the challenge. That way you can focus them down and if your team is on point you don’t end up hating them for simply being good team mates and helping to, in their eyes, assist you in your struggle. The challenges would be less stress inducing and take a more reasonable about of time to complete. Yes, you’d still have to hope for the enemy you need to show up, but at the same time when they do show up you aren’t only getting one point towards it per match with several missed opportunities due to your team.

As for the Toby challenge, I manage to do it but it was entirely luck based, every point into it. I would get a kill and immediately go into my ult before looking for who to kill. Most of the time it was wasted and when I did manage to contribute to the challenge it was only because of random chance that a weak enemy would happen to run by out of left field. Most people are too smart to just stand there in his ult and will either break line of sight, which is stupid easy to do as Toby moves incredibly slow, or use CC to knock him out of it, also incredibly easy with almost any character, or simply take advantage of this state and kill him. Toby is super vulnerable in this state and while yes, it’s simple enough to get kills with the ult, the task of getting double kills with it is backbreaking. This is the only challenge I can say for sure needs to be changed to a “Kill enemy players with Core Discharge”. Up the requirement for how many need to be done if you want but this one is excruciating to try and pull off. The lore reward for completing said challenge doesn’t even reveal anything about Toby as a character or even delves into his personality, which makes me wish I never even bothered with it.

Additionally, I have never tried to make progress on this one, but I’ve heard that Attikus’ challenge in which he needs to crit Rendain 20 times whit a charged hook is really hard. I heard someone say that they spent the whole fight trying to hit him in the face with charged hooks and at the end they only got 1 critical hit.

It’s not that hard I got it in two matches and so did my brother, I found aiming for his chest to be more effective than aiming for his head

I think the PvP enforcement is still my biggest issue. I’m actually having a bit of anxiety over that as I’m genuinely worried about doing bad at PvP because my attention is going to be drifting to lore achievements, even if I don’t want it to.

The only change I need to lore as an ideal is that they could be earned with bots in private matches as well. The rest? The rest I can deal with, even if it’s a bit of a slog.

I got that one in two tries. First try only got me one hit but second try once I got it lined up right I refused to move, letting him knock me up and mashing the trigger. The biggest problem with that one is he moves his head around a lot with each movement he makes. You can actually get hits that count while he’s doing the whole death animation. It’s a challenge that takes some grinding out but it’s doable and a lot easier compared to some challenges.

I don’t understand why they made another Kill ambra challenge, as well as making it so Alani has a challenge to be on a team with Galilea. That’s fine and all but once ambra shows up then the teamwork falls apart and allies aren’t helping each other anymore, they’re threatening the other to back the hell off. Terrible combo, but it makes me think they really do intend to make it so assists count.

just 5 airborne volley kills away from being Master of Thorn! so annoying but when I get that I get to flaunt it! I’m so not looking forward in the skill certain enemy lore… that’s hella annoying

Ooooh I did that one, it was a pain in the ass. The one thing that helped was that occasionally there was a really bad enemy who I could get like 4 lore challenge kills on in one match.
