You don’t need to be very fast in PVE. His normal pace with helixes is enough. His melee is not “very strong” in PVE, it’s meh at best, and Caldy is much more effective with hitting crits with his pistol. 150 kills only made me sure of this.
Yup, it requires you to do 100 kills to make sure you’ll never use that skill to deal damage anymore. Ask any Mellka player for confirmation if you don’t believe me. (Upd: To be honest, the challenge itself is not stupid - it fits the lore. But the combination of that skill’s poor targeting and Mellka’s overall “squishiness” makes that skill only really useful as an escape option, not offensive, rendering the challenge somewhat useless.)
Alani healing 800 teaches you to hold your osmosis stacks until a teammate is close to death. This can be essential for extending pushes and gaining a couple more points.
Gearbox did a really good job of teaching us. They aren’t just stupid challenges.
I didn’t call that challenge stupid, I mentioned it because of my personal experience with it, as OP asked.
Ah, and if one needs a special challenge to understand the basic work of Alani’s healing then I have a bad news for him…
