Sorry guess I was sold on this being a 2k game and didn’t realize you were going Ina different direction with things
As has been mentioned above, Battleborn really is not intended to play like Borderlands. It’s a whole different genre. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad game.
Glad that you got to play it before buying, and make an informed decision.
When you make one of the greatest games of all times sorry I guess my expectations raise
It’s a matter of taste. I think that Battleborn happens to be Gbx’s masterpiece…And I loved borderlands. A lot.
Have expecations for the next Borderlands or another game that Gearbx releases in the same Genre as Borderlands. Have lowered expectations for a game that is not the same Genre.
I can’t stand the feel of the weapons or the timed ability thing, feels to much like a cell phone game
you must not be a diablo fan.
So, we’ve established that this game might not be for you. That’s okay.
I don’t like the available characters and how the jumping is the worst of all fps, this game feels like it should have been released before borderlands
Good luck guys and if you want to make a game I will buy I need a variety of different guns for each character that are fresh new and not disappointing
Well, the wait for BL3 is sure to be worth it.
Dude this is not borderlands what do you mean? This is a completely different game. So theres no moving backwards. Just dont play if you dont enjoy it. But comparing this and thinking this is borderlands will get you no where.
I think that point has been made sufficiently now.
I like to think of it from the developer’s point of view. Borderlands has been a great series that gave a lot more freedom than many games and these developers have been working on Borderlands for a long time now. Borderlands is a game with a lot of freedom but even so the game could be limiting. Battleborn must be a breath of fresh air for the developers. You have a completely new setting with even more freedom, a new graphical style and the ability to design completely wild new play styles.
Compare that do developers that get stuck on a franchise treadmill where every game they make has to be a follow-up to a previous game in the franchise.
If you give Gearbox option A you will have a much happier team that would be refreshed if/when the time to make a Borderlands game comes around again (I say if because they are hiring new blood to work on it, I’m not 100% sure the original team will return to it). Option B leads to burnout and people leaving the company to try something different.
Personally since I’ve been waiting for a new game from Valve for a long time (I’m still not excited about DotA2 or CounterStrike:GO), I’ve had Gearbox keeping me busy for a long time.
Most games build off of what people like, this has shields like borderlands, a similar format for the game layout, but lacks my favorite parts; shields with abilities, different weapons, skills trees with more options, and jumping that could help you climb. As from what I have seen there is no height aspect to this game which makes it one deminsional if you ask me. There is no way to identify characters stats and characters seem the generic.
Don’t worry I won’t be buying this game, can you please ask for a new borderlands in the near future
It’s already been confirmed as in the being in the very early stages of development.
I don’t want them to rush it.
Options are my thing and if you take away my options then the game always seems to be the same especially when you attacks are always the same, the weapons always the same, no grenades for the most part, it seems like an incredibly stripped early version of borderlands
As as been said before, it is a completely different game, with absolutely no bearing, influence, or connection to the borderlands franchise. You don’t like it. We get it. So stop comparing apples and oranges.
More like green apples to red apples cause your monsters look incredibly borderlands like, your stages look incredibly borderlands like, the looks for shields power bars and enemy meters with damage count above them look incredibly borderlands like don’t act like you didn’t steal their format
