Characters That Need To Be Brought Down A Notch

Strongly disagree with all your S tiers nerf list

Miko probably the closest to being op and is mostly good because it has the best sustained heal with the smallest effort, just beam in the tank butt and profit. In case something goes wrong stun spore +hide +heal but he relies on escape if he get focus so is really squishy

Alani got nerfed hard and its epic in clutch heals and hold the lane, thats it. her dmg is nowhere near as good as release and she breaks easily with some pressure

Thorn is really good nuking people out but you need to be in perpetual move to be a threat, if you stop moving for a sec you can die fairly easy. And she has a small hit box with a not so small head.

Boldur is a nice tank for sure, but nowhere close to s tier. Endgame hero with slow attack and team attacking depending.

Personally in the last case since it is my favorite role I can tell you that if boldur is S tier in your book and deserves a nerf, kelvin is SS in mine and should be erased for the game.
With the same boldur time to build up you can end up with more raw dmg, more secure cc, 3500- 4000(lazy) hp pool + shield sustain with low cd and eldrid regen as boldur and with shield caps gear you can sum more shield . If you have a good healer, you are in god mode bitting for 700 dmg (thorn ult) and punching people to dead.

pause… didn’t a lot of these characters already get nerfed? some a lot? why are we asking for more nerfs? we shouldn’t be asking for anymore nerfs.

Frankly you haven’t played against a competent boldur if you don’t think he is S tier. I would take boldur over any other tank in incursion and it’s not even remotely close.

This is not so much about securing kills, but effecting an incursion game. Boulder can draw so much aggrow in enemy spawn and allow his team to damage sentry. He can stay in there longer than any character.

Kelvin is good character but has counters. The characters I listed don’t seem to have a reliable counter (teams are banning them), besides stun/chain stunning but that is everyones counter.

I have Boldur at level 12. He is not good at all. He is near the bottom in terms of tanking. He cannot block incoming AOE damage or lockon such as ambra and kleese attacks. He moves too slow for blocking. His sprint while shield is decent. Damage wise he isn’t good. Kelvin,Montana and Galilea are much better at tanking and they don’t have a huge shield blocking them.

You can ignore Boldur since he isn’t a big threat.

No tank can block AOE damage or lock-ons. Boulders shield blocks incoming damage and HEALS him. I promise you he is awesome. He is the best tank in the game for survivability deep in the lane to draw aggro away from your team mates. Once you get his ult, the slow/amplified damage on axe toss and a few more of his AWESOME helixes he can get kills just as well as the next guy, if not better.

Late game you’re looking at melee bonuses when activating a rune(18% dmg) and rage (20% attack speed, 35% damage reduction), plus increased damage on barefist attacks, amplified damage on axe toss, 15% damage reduction on rage, slow on axe toss, extra 700 health or so just for throwing an axe into a minion wave; and then something like 70% damage increase or an unbreakable shield…

I promise you are mistaken, my friend. I have almost gotten a penta with him twice. The first time the 5th kill was literally 1 second too late for the penta title. And this was at like level 7 in game.

Edit: Combo should be stun into wall, hit them a few times with axe, throw axe, hit them once or twice with barefist=dead. And of course you want your ult up all the time.

  1. I wasn’t suggesting that they solely up the numbers. I have no idea where you got that idea from.
  2. I can’t really understand the rest of what you’re saying. It’s something about comparing Oscar Mike’s grenade with helix upgrades to Ambra’s and Toby’s ults… I think.

Where did you hear/see that?

It was said when the ā€œPlay With The Devsā€ event was going on. If you go to lftstrafe’s youtube channel he made a vid on it. It was said that Attikus will appear like a re-worked character. 8 characters will be getting a wound, including WF and Caldarius. And probably some more stuff that I don’t remember.

Edit: I believe they just said it will happen soon, but they did indeed say that 24/26 characters are getting changed in some way.

ahhh, thank you.

Pendles!

There’s even a whole thread about it!

Frankly I have play with good boldurs and I’m pretty decent myself but he is A tier at best, the only real threat is that he is very mobile and can be hard to pin down since he has a good kit to gap close or run away.

If you say that I haven’t play against a good one because I dont find it op then you haven’t play against a good kelvin or Montana with speed gear and critics gear.

Boldur is shredded in sec and not to mention that he is nowhere close to galilea on release or the first week Alani.
In short if a Boldur is destroying your team you need new teammates or change the strategy.

Frankly the game like others have said need buffs since is really close to balance and the hero pool is fairly short compared to other games and frankly gbx don’t know how to soft balance, so if I’m still playing by that time I wanna see if they at least can buff properly.

I think you’re looking at it like I’m saying Boldur is a killing machine on a rampage, etc. I’m not even saying that (although I would say he is great at killing mid/late game). I’m simply saying his ability to get into the enemy spawn and reek havoc, draw aggro, etc while your team takes down the sentry is unmatched. Montana can do it briefly, maybe even Kelvin can do it briefly; but with Boldur he can stay there indefinitely if he is good, especially after level 5. Boldur can just hang out at their supply station with the sentry still up while three enemies pound on him, no other tank can do that.

The best strat is to simply ignore Boldur, but that only works early game. Mid/late game you can’t ignore him because he will kill you.

My argument is simply he has more survivability that any other tank and performs the tank roll better than any other tank in Incursion. I’d say Montana is second but it’s not close. Montana can get a few seconds of damage reduction to dive in with the team, Boldur can dive anytime he wants and stay there.

Edit: I am saying this as a Boldur player, not someone who just gets killed by Boldur. If my team is trying and I’m on Boldur the first sentry is down when we are level 3 most of the time.

As @asiahmillertime was saying, I’m not saying he has more damage output. That’s not what I want my tank to do. You talking like boldur is easy to kill just proves you haven’t seen one who knows how to position himself. I play with the OP all the time, it’s floyder btw, and we’ve tried all the tanks. Boulder alone can stay in there much longer than a Montana or kelvin with a miko up his ass could even dream of. You try to go behind him? Enjoy the other 4 people melting you in seconds.

what about for PSN? I’m gonna try to look for them I guess.

Yeah I think the the helix gamer league is where most of the PSN tourneys come from. If you search BB tourneys on battlefy you should be able to find them.

@hockeyswede31 Floyder FTW

Looking at the ruleset for it now, hopefully I can get a team together by saturday and see this top play.

Lol I don’t know much about PS4 play. I know they have one really good team, but not sure about the rest. I believe most PS4 tourneys are done on Meltdown as well, not Incursion.

The tourneys are really fun though. I feel like once you play with a draft it’s hard to go back to public matches. Playing with picks/bans just adds a whole other dynamic. Plus, if you see an ability cast you don’t have to guess which team it’s coming from

I largely agree. I’ve long felt Miko needs a nerf of some sort as when part of a dedicated team he is simply too powerful. Heals way too quickly and is not an easy target to take down (so the advice of ā€œfocus the healerā€ is not that effective with him).

I haven’t really noticed Alani being that huge an issue but the Geyser is a bit ridiculous especially when compared to something like Reyna’s Mark Target.

Thorn is another that needs some looking at. Reducing her blight was a good move but she does way too much burst damage, damage over time, area of effect, and her attacks are really easy to aim and hit with. Plus she is insanely maneuverable and hard to hit on top of all this.

Gali I think is fine if you fix Miko. Gali + Pocket Miko = nightmare. Gali by herself is fine.

Oscar Mike is another where I think he’s fine and the answer isn’t to do anything to Mike but instead to buff Sentries, especially their shields. Sentry shields should be a lot harder for Battleborn to take down. The fact that Thorn and Mike can take them down singlehandedly is a huge problem IMO.

Boldur is weird in that he’s a tough character to work with and most Boldurs I’ve met stink with him. That said, his shield does seem practically unbreakable and his survivability is insanely high. He could do with some looking at as well. A good Boldur is practically unkillable unless you manage to sneak behind him but if he’s got a good team supporting him, that’s a tall order.
