Because he was no longer UPR far before being a battleborn, the UPR rejected him and he rejected them. Same case as Galilea, who is originally from Eldrid faction, but that’s hundred of years in the past AFAIK…
Mellka is half non-human, has always been Eldrid faction. She’s the freaking Red Observer of the Eldrid faction and a Eldrid hero (she doesn’t do the Hero landing for nothing). The guardian of the Codex (the most important database of the powerful Eldrid faction AFAIK), Chronicle, salutes her as the “little lady”. Eldrid isn’t a race, it regroups lots of varied races.
There is no human faction to begin with. LLC faction currently has more playable humans characters than UPR (3 vs 2), and Rogue has two as well. BEcause those faction are not race-centric, and that in reverse, those races are not regrouped in a specific faction.
AFAIK, Nova was never rejected by LLC and she never rejected LLC either.
Furthermore, Magnus IA are not a race, they are manufactured by the LLC. That’s why as long as she doesn’t reject LLC, she would logically be LLC. LLC seems to be mostly working hand to hand with the UPR in the current conflict, so she hardly have reason to reject them. Furthermore, even ISIC, who temporary rejected LLC, is still affiliated as LLC. BEcause LLC is his last affiliated faction before joining the battleborn. If we take Ghalt as the battleborn leader, then Nova was LLC until joining ghalt, which means she’s LLC.
Also, I fail to see why just changing a faction who turn a boring character in not boring. Either Nova in a robot suit is boring, or she isn’t, but this has nothing to do with her faction being fixed as LLC or not.
