My bad, didn’t see that topic. Just posted something equivalent : Are aimbots a thing?
Basically, I can’t believe what I saw was a skilled Marquis player. Fast, perfect hits, as fast as the fire rate actually, even on randomly moving targets; perfect anticipation of movements; impossible chase&successful hit; perfect spotting through screen occluding FX ( maybe that can be toned down via menu though ) … I call aimbot and wallhack.
I mean, the guy’s steam account is even flagged with a VAC ban, so even if VAC isn’t very reliable, it may be enough to raise suspicions considering he seems to be playing shooters almost exclusively - yeah, I totally stalked him after the games
The extent of ‘cheating’ with Marquis I’ve seen is people ‘head-glitching’ the sniper spot on Paradise to cheese kill the first sentry bot. Most incursion matches I play has a player attempting to do this, and it’s a pretty easy way to take down the thing, especially for a single player.
I figure, with the way they intended the gamemode to work, it shouldn’t be possible for a single player to kill the sentry that easily.
Hopefully they’ll address that issue soon somehow. As for now I’m sticking to the other modes.
There was this one guy. He has two VAC bans on record already. Just got out of a match against him as Marquis. Marquis is the one character whom I have mastered, and I’m decent at him. But this guy. He never left his rifle and constantly landed hits, even when I was on Mellka, abusing my mobility and height against him, at close range. Everyone on our team believed he was aimboting, or something of the sort. I’ve had very few issues, but people abusing aiming programs or whatever on the character Marquis could be a HUGE issue. And I believe 100% that it is happening.
This. So annoying. You literally cant see him but he can shoot you, you can see his rifle pop up out of cover when he shoots. And aimbotting because hes shooting Orendi mid-nullify, thats a high speed leap. Also, they’re generally bad players. amazing unbelievable shots, bad players.
Played yesterday against a Marquis with consistent headshots that went 23-0, had a Marquis in my team who went 19-0. Just now I played against an Oscar Mike that went 20-0… funny how I am only seeing this with the sniper/shooter players that seem to benefit from this hack.
If winning means playing with an Aimbot cheat then this game’s competitive environment is dead and I’ve just wasted 60 bucks. Might as well just delete all the other characters and keep a couple of them around that work with this aimbot.
Just played versus Phoebe who was cheating. Her speed was so fast her movements were jittery/jumping around the screen, attack speed was also multiplied, not normal behavior at all for Phoebe. Have it all on video. This stinks.
Sounds like a pretty normal Phoebe to me. Her secondary attack does the dash-like movement, and she can do that in any direction. I have attack speed gear and can get her to about +45% attack speed with gear and helix.
Listen, I can recognize normal speed with not normal. If you have an email I can email the video I did with my cell phone. Let me know then if it’s normal, OK?
OK, so this is a very crappy quality video from my cel. If you can see the first half of the video she will be attacking Montana to my right, then she will cross over to the left and then at me quickly…
On this one I just sat there recording and walking backwards… here her movements are still super fast although not as fast as I had seen it, where here character seemed like she was jumping around on the screen with no visible movement, like she was doing miniteleports around every 0.5 seconds. I walk off a ledge on this one.
This is the very first time in my 82 hours on Battleborn that I see such thing.

First video, can’t see much Phoebe. Looks normal for the 2 seconds I can see her. Then the inevitable Miko+Galilea combo with Shane and Aurox trying to steal the kill. Also, HOW did that Galilea shield NOT stun you? I don’t see what it could have ricocheted off of.
It’s hard to see in the second video, but that Montana starts out with about 1/4hp by the time Phoebe starts attacking.
It looks like Phoebe’s usual movement speed, perhaps with some movement speed gear. My concern with that video is that she’s got the thumper turret slow effect on her and she’s STILL that fast.
Those diagonal jumps are her ‘true strike’ secondary attack.
