last night first try to beat eclipse/eos boss with nisha lv 47. against eclipse it was ok and finally i beat him but then came this giant thing and i go down several time but i manage to get return again each time up to the point i was in a fight for life an he just began to fire his superlaser to mi and i see nothing and so i could not kill one of this flying things to come back…hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I think they should drop one of eos recharges in normal mode he is way too hard for normal mode. 2 recharges would still be a hell of a challenge.

I ended up using clear skies Oz kit, termination protocols, purple electric Maliwan smg, leveling two levels beyond ess, using the lazer that fires different elements every shot (forgot the name) and even then I died several times before I took him down.

Aww…did some big , handsome Aussie fella break your heart? Walk it off, Sugar Britches.

EOS goes down in seconds if you have a corrosive Boganella… Even when playing on UVHM. Just try it, it’s a short lived fight

That’s simply not possible. It’s a scripted fight, for one thing. Its stages have waves of minions separating them. I know good gear and ability to hit crits make a huge difference–but seconds? Sorry–video proof, or it didn’t happen.

remembered seeing this a few days ago, so I looked it up, Claptrap vs Eclipse & EOS 45 seconds

There are literally dozens of such videos on the forum, spread among 2-3 time trial threads dedicated to them.

It is possible, though very hard to pull off since your timing has to be perfect to bypass the scripted part. Look it up. ( @onlyin_kansas and @khimerakiller might have some more to say since they both produced some solid runs)

@Cobra951 I’ve skipped EOS’ phases legitimately with Athena, Nisha, and Claptrap. I don’t know what else I should say. I guess I could say the Mongol, along with a lot of knowledge of how this game works is the key to this fight. You have to kill EOS in ~1/5 of a second to pull off these kills.

A compilation of all the speed kills.

its very possible to bypass EOS’ phases. you just have to deal a crap-ton (not an estimated value, BTW) of damage at the right time, very fast. this can be done with claptraps OLT skill, athenas fire rate and maelstrom skills, and nishas tombstone and crit-sharing properties. all were done with the mongol rocket launcher, due to the pellets splitting over distance and causing a ton of damage to EOS, all in rapid succession.
other scripted fights can be dealt with the same way. ive killed DS and bypassed his whole “go underground and spawn adds around the chest” with a flayer before.

If you can bypass his scripts, it takes seconds. Even if you don’t, it’s possible to deal an insane amount of damage on EOS with a corrosive Boganella in between each ‘script’.

I don’t know why, but the corrosive Boganella seems to do full damage on EOS, even ignoring his shield. Maybe a bug, I don’t know. But even when playing UVHM, I can wear him down in 2 or 3 seconds per each scripted part. Sure it takes a while for him to regenerate his shield in between, but once he’s back in there, it’s just a few seconds worth of blasting at his eye and then he goes back into limp mode.

Other weapons (at least in my case) don’t seem to be quite as effective, but I’ve heard of other strategies which work just as well. In any case, I’ve now done EOS with 3 of my characters on UVHM and didn’t break a sweat

what character where you using for this? also i think your boganella has a shield bypass luneshine, which is only obtainable by third party software.

Shield bypass luneshine can be obtained on other guns though. So it seems to be a good idea to have it on a corrosive weapon for Eos. The Sledge’s shotgun isn’t that far behind the Boganella in performance, and it can have the shield bypass luneshine.

If its on a pistol, Nisha can even double it to 60%

still, on nisha, your best off with a LC, and on athena, the development is king (if your not mongol spamming)

I’m not sure. For each phase you only have to bring 1/4 of his health down… even factoring the 60% chance (which is sort of canceled out by the 1.75 corrosive-on-armor multiplier) and factoring in that most guns don’t hurt as much as the LC, you could be looking at a much quicker time.

Corrosive anarchist with shield bypass luneshine… I bet it’s faster than the LC, even with a Crapshooter setup for the LC.

… doesn’t change what I said
Athena could be using a shield bypass development

yeah, you’re probably right. i was just thinking from the standpoint of a player who likes having ammo  but yeah, i never really thought of that (probably because most of my arsenal is claptastic DLC and quest rewards)

Ammo reserves at that point in the game is moot. :stuck_out_tongue:

But even then, the same bypass luneshine on a Shootarang would be almost as quick (maybe just as quick depending on your framerate and fire rate bonus setup)

ive seen the LC do a 3 second phase on EOS. (once  ) but its pretty consistent at about the 4-5 second mark. still very fast. not doubting the luneshine, but you would need to get lucky with procs to really see faster times, and the double pistols may be the solution. 60% is a lot.

Can the claptrap DLC legendaries be obtained from the grinder ?

yes, but they cant have luneshine. (i think its three legendarys, and at least one has to be a claptastic)
