Claptastic Voyage DLC Part 1 Not Downloaded? WTF?

Thing is, unless you updated before doing both parts, there was no need to update again. If you look at my instructions again, that’s how I got it working, but after I did that, it said to install the newest patch, but my game updated like a week or so before this dlc, so i ignored it and continued my save anyway.

I think if you exit the game after installing everything, the glitch happens and says that it isn’t installed. After doing the instructions you’ve been given, ignore anything about a patch and just try it out? Even if it says to install the latest update/patch. IGNORE IT!

Any news on this post? Hopefully something soon on this front.

On my Xbox 360 there’s more than one profile available. I downloaded the Claptastic Voyage pieces on the profile with the season pass and did it in the order of compatibility pack, part 1, and part 2 from downloadable content on main menu. After downloading all of that I was getting the error that I needed the newest game update to play. In the store compatibility pack and part 1 show as installed but part 2 shows as not downloaded. After redownloading part 2 several times I double checked and it shows up in my system storage as being downloaded even though it will not register in the store that way.

I turned off my internet, logged into a different user from my season pass holder, and was able to access the content just fine. I logged off, back into the season pass holder and even though part 2 still shows as not downloaded, Claptastic Voyage is now able to play. I don’t know what changed in the fun go around to make it work, I maybe didn’t even need to login as another user, but the dlc now works and that is all that matters. I don’t have enough internet per month to download all three parts 4 or 5 times each. I am a high usage user and they capped me at 300 GB, with gaming, streaming and games with gold downloads, really more than one time tips the balance over the fine line I have to walk.

Still no follow up from tech support for this problem.

Did you log into a whole new X box profile or just an other borderlands character

It was a totally different profile than the one that has the season pass. It is a silver member, not a gold. So the profile has access to the dlc only because it shares the system. Thanks to a friend who came over and tried out the game, the profile had a low level character that made it to Janey’s place with the fast travel.

Everything showed that the packs had been downloaded in my system settings, so I just wanted to try something different to access them. I turned the internet off because I was trying to limit prompts or anything telling me stuff was wrong. Since the profile was not the season pass holder on the system, I thought it may give me less grief loading in because it wouldn’t be that profile’s job to fix it. Plus, from the different answers of people who got it working, the common factor seems to be just getting access to that content that is actually on there but is prompting us that it isn’t. From those who went live with someone else who had it, to others who managed to make the switch to TVHM work for them, or some people made switching characters work. It seemed the work arrounds all involved making it past the prompts outside the normal means.

It was a desperate shot in the dark really. But when it worked… Very worth it.

Meant that as a reply to you, it ended up general reply.

Any clue when this will be fixed? like this weekend?

Re-downloaded both many times. Spent about 14 hours trying to fix this. I am about to stop playing. Level 50 with nothing to do.

doesn’t work.

can you please reply to me when the claptastic voyage is fixed

can you please add me on xbox 360 my name is AsknQuestion247 and I have been trying to get this to work since this morning and if I don’t download it it will bother me for a long time so can you please take me to the deck so I unlock it?

Any news on this like an update or a fix ?

I have now gotten four responses to my support ticket–and they were all exactly the same: delete Part 1 and download it again. Never mind I’ve already stated that I’ve done this at least a dozen times!

To bad I can’t get my money back ><

So I joined a friend’s game with the DLC. It still said I didn’t have it downloaded and wouldn’t let us play it. But something else also happened: most of my skill points suddenly became unassigned! My badass points and weapons/heads/skins were unaffected. WTH?! I’m filing a complaint with Microsoft about this faulty DLC and getting a refund. I’d advise others in this situation to do the same. If the support wasn’t so awful I wouldn’t be so pissed, but it is what it is.

I am also having trouble with the DLC on 360. To be clear I re-downloaded both parts in their correct order. When reloading the game it said I needed a more recent version of the game so I cleared my cache and reinstalled the title update. When I get into the game the fast travel station still has Deck 13 1/2 marked with an asterisk and trying to travel to the location it wants me to download the DLC again. Which doesn’t work. Is there a title update that hasn’t been pushed to Live? Anybody actually find a solution to this issue other than “it just started working for me one day”?

I’ve just contacted Microsoft and got a full refund and they also put out a service issue with the dlc I’d recommend for you also to get a refund and buy it again later when there a a fix r spend your money on something that actually works

Well, I think I may have cracked the problem. The glitch is in the compatibility pack (at least it was for me). I deleted all three items (both parts of DLC and compat pack) and downloaded only Part 1 of DLC. Status in the game at this point listed Part 1 as ‘Downloaded’ but not installed. The game was also prompting me to download Part 2 of the DLC and the Compat Pack. I then downloaded Part 2. Now the game listed Part 1 as ‘Installed’ and Part 2 as ‘Not Downloaded.’ At this point I went into the game WITHOUT the Compat Pack (in previous attempts at fixing this, I downloaded the Compat Pack) and Deck 13 was available to travel to. Once I had progressed into the DLC a bit and saved my game, I then downloaded the Compat Pack. Now all is well. The glitch with this DLC lies in the Compat Pack. Hope this helps.

The team has been working on a fix for this that will very likely be included in the next update. In the meantime, along with some of the workarounds here in this thread, the team has found a workaround that may resolve the issue for some users:

  • Delete part 1 (2GB) from the Xbox 360 storage device.
  • Re-download Part 1 again from the in-game downloadable content menu.
  • Install Part 1 when the prompt asked user after the download is completed.
  • There should be a prompt in-game that informs you that you have new content, and ask if you would like to install it.[/quote]
