With what weapon? I was using Standard fade away in the beginning a lot but changed to Gitm with a incendiary Kings Call to melt bosses.

Would love to go back to standard and one/two shot them

Someone posted videos here on the fl4k section for those kills

I don’t think that they nerfed FL4K correctly. His crit bonuses weren’t touched outside of the immediate fade away bonus. They also didn’t buff other builds.
In general, I think it’s ok to nerf in a PvE game. It’s no fun watching a Moze or a FL4K straight up melt the boss you want to fight in 5 seconds, and I don’t think they should,

They still do melt bosses in one second or 2 shots

Either I am a terrible player, which I doubt with my history lol, or the fl4k nerf kinda sucks, or better yet, him surviving and really being able to do “anything” in mayhem 3 is just crap. I don’t think they scaled a lot of things properly in general. My pet is dead all the time, to the point where now I just ignore I even have one, it literally does nothing. Fade away is almost pointless because you don’t have enough time to do anything super useful, especially in a situation where you are swarmed and forget about anointed. You might as well save and quit and hope they aren’t there when you get back. I think the enemies and bosses in this game are scaled up way too much. I NEVER had this issue in BL2 UVMH. Because you built yourself and your gear up and could mostly be badass and handle it. This? Totally not that at all. You are going down all the time and it honestly just takes the fun out of it. A challenge is one thing, this is just stupid. So whether it’s the nerfs or just a combination of things. The survivability is garbage and these enemies take like no damage unless you are sitting there for 5 mins on each one, it shouldn’t be like that, and anyone who played BL2 for the hours and years I did knows that is true. We got challenges with the invincibles but eventually even figured that out for the most part. I don’t want to die 30 times before I succeed. It’s just not fun anymore that way. I think the scaling is just messed up and they def need to tweak some stuff and add some gear that actually can melt something or at least close to it. That’s been the borderlands way forever. This 0.1 damage in 5 mins of shooting is dumb. It’s not challenging, it’s super frustrating and I don’t see the point. Plus if you want to farm you gotta be in and out as fast as you can. Not this 15 mins boss fight crap because you can’t make a dent in them. Meh.

I’ve seen people mealt a variety of things with a variety of weapons. Most of them being multi-pellet guns.

Personally, I do not think Guerillas should be the go to augment for guns like the Hellwalker, which is a one shot shotgun with high damage that due to auto crits and Leave no trace can be spammed faster than a shreadifier(ok, maybe not with the dual guns, but way too fast for how much damage it does). When first looking at the skill tree, my thought was that Guerillas was meant to make large mage/high fire rate guns more usable with Fade Away, not be perfect for low mag and low fire rate weapons that somehow fire off 11× the shots than it should using it. That specific interaction is what is making Guerillas far better than any other action skill or augment. Without it, people might actually have to use part of their skill to reload, which would make the base action skill/other augments more attractive for the type of guns where you wouldnt get much more than 3 shots off after factoring in reloads, as if you are only going to get 3-6 shots off anyway, you might as well get 3 shots with a 200-425% damage boost than 5 shots with only a 50%.

Of course, Leave no trace should still function for hitting normal crit spots even when in Fade Away, as there is no point in punishing players for skillful play since at that point they could do the same while not under the action skill so it’s not something that can be attributed to it.

The other augments are not competitive because they do nothing within the actual F4de Away - meaning they can do nothing to make base F4de more competitive with GiTM. If one of the augments had massively increased Fl4k’s single shot power, or allowed kills to refund the shot fired, they would be immediately competitive.

But you can just use unblinking eye with base fade away. Fade away may have an increased 200% crit damage, but it still basically doubles the crit damage you would be doing by the final shot. Considering that all you were doing with gorillas in the mist was spamming a Jakobs on crit to clear out mobs, having a single extremely powerful shot from the Jakobs weapon that is doing plus 400% crit damage would surely be enough to clear out mobs as well.

Fl4k is made of glass and even more so now. Honestly that’s all he was good for, so now what? You can’t handle big mobs, forget the over powered enemies, you just go down. I guess we were kind of willing to trade that for his DPS. Buttttt no. So now what is his selling point verse the other vault hunters that are stronger and aren’t glass on top of it

Different playstyle some might enjoy more (‘pocket rakks’ are actually a lot of fun)? Voice, appearance. Having a sidekick monkey with a gun?

Not everyone is a min-maxer here and insists on playing with the most optimal (for some definition of ‘optimal’) build.

I definitely agree with you for bossing - I think Base F4de + Unblinking Eye is one of the most powerful burst damage combos.

But my point was more directed at the previous post which said LnT was the key factor as to why GiTM was so preferred. And I said the main reason is that 2 of the augments are pretty darn useless , so making there no cost in not using GiTM for mobbing (as opposed to using another augment). The only cost was whether you preferred base F4de or GiTM. If there was another powerful augment which explicitly benefited base F4de, and given UE is a must grab, there would be truly 2 different ways of using FA.

For everyone who is only playing solo… Disconnect your console from the internet and play in offline mode… the game is pre-nerf. happy FL4K happy farming haha

Pretty sure they patched the hotfix in, so that doesn’t work

i’m on my PS4 playing offline right now. +50% crit damage for GITM and still at original duration.

Proof: picture of my tv right now

Great. This! ty! And everyone complaining about mozes nades ignoring, she has a pointless action skill to carry!!!

Nope fl4k nerfs were after the patch. The patch didnt really do much noticeable stuff. Possibly a secret loot balance too

For those who haven’t seen, they nerfed fl4k. Again. Now there is a 2 second cooldown to Leave No Trace. The first nerf was unfortunate but maybe necessary. This nerf just makes me not want to play anymore.

I don’t know why I am surprised they are ignoring the community as a whole, but I am a little. It’s sad that gamers are arguing with each other now about this all over the place. We all like playing and have different styles and like doing different things in the game. I don’t know why anyone cares. I don’t care if someone doesn’t like melting things, or doesn’t like farming, or wants more challenge or whatever. Why the hell should anyone care what I like to do sitting in my home? Enough to be a douche about it on the internet? Like I mean ok, I guess those people are just super cool and I am missing something. At the end of the day, I think the fixes could have been made to make everyone happy, or just make more options for play style. Done. Everyone is happy. The nerfing, I don’t know…it seems to be overkill. It made a lot of things change, not just fl4k melting graveward, which is like all anyone is talking about and it’s dumb. Everyone can melt graveward, he’s such a bad example of what really changed with the guns and the build. Now everyone who plays fl4k and has any kind of complaint at all, just gets looked at as a person “who can’t melt graveward with a King or queens” I don’t know who’s dumber here. If that’s what people think the “complaints” are about, they are dumb. No one cares about graveward. What about the rest of the game? The things that changed with weapons and fl4k affect him for the rest of the game especially in M3. He’s just kind of like an Axton now. Or I just really suck at playing. If I do really suck at playing that’s ok too, because we should all just be having fun. I’m ranting, but it’s just aggravating. It’s also aggravating to have these forums and not one thing was addressed, not one thing has been mentioned about the opinions on here, so then why ask us!?

I’ve decided to go with my original build idea for flak the one I made even before the game came out. Using not my circus. I got a red suit shield with a double amp on it so 50% amp damage plus the radiation aoe. Originally I had planned to use the skull masher but as that gun isn’t in the game sadly had to settle for headsplosion. Four kills max per shot up to 12 in normal flak action skill decent at clearing adds. Skull masher would have been like a chance for 7 kills a shot but what can do you.

I just fire 2 shots straight off then charge at the nearest guy melee him to death need a better relic for this then fire the final shot right before the skill ends. Works well enough for me I guess.
