I’m not obsessed…offering some insight to these people who think getting unlimited crits for 5 to 7 seconds is somehow worthless.

Its less dmg than natural crits. While iron bear becomes underwhelming moze still has crazy damage and tank builds. I lost some legendaries (bank glitch) needed for one of those but with them she can outdamage mist, especially now.
Fl4ks other action skills dont translate well into mayhem 3 and didnt get any love. So with the change my fl4k build like my moze build doesnt take advantage of the action skills to play it… except i get an annointed proc out od them.

I also did them as my first 50s. Fadeaway is doing much less for me now than moze.
edit On moze, I was seeing quicker kills using rerouter and deathless.

Fade Away auto-crits stack with natural crits.

I know but that does not make it infinite crits as he said to try and exaggerate it. Its all fadeaway “crits” within that time. Its weaker than a true crit unless you pull off both at the same time which is not infinite or even every shot you can squeeze off in 5 seconds if you are human and the boss/mob moves.
My point is the fade away crit build is weaker with my drops now than a rakk build, moze amp build, and amara. The change made another one of his action skills lackluster for me on mayhem 3 . Annointed lyuda is stupid strong and rakk procs help it sustain but im not using rakk for itself, much like moze and iron bear.
They need to fix glitches and balance the action skills so they are all useable on mayhem 3. Losing your entire bank is not acceptable after launch, let alone after skill nerfs. Action skills not lasting their duration endgame or reducing your characters damage are also things that need more attention. If they waste time trying to take down any build that performs well instead, they will just slowly take the fun out of it.
Its too early to say how itll go but Im not feeling optimistic. Im sure a few free golden keys to replace my bank full of legendaries saved to try new builds will change my mind though. *sarcasm *

Agreed 100%. This argument never works though I’ve been trying to reason with games and player bases since the runescape days. During destiny 1 I said one thousand times you can not balance pvp and pve as they are two completely different animals that play by fully different rules. Tried the same argument in eso. Massive long thread detialing everyway they would nerf and screw the game up trying to balance both until is was a bland nothing gave solutions for fixing it.
Game devs though will always take the perceived easy way out of the work. Playing whack a mole with builds nerf buff nerf buff nerf buff until the game is nothing. I will say however this forum is wayyy less hostile then any other I’ve been on.

The way I see it, they gutted Fl4k’s entire crit kit, and they’ll have to walk some of those changes back. FA with GitM is more than a DPS tool - it’s used for tactical repositioning, healing, etc. Fl4k mains are now forced to spec at least all the way down to unblinking eye to offset the damage penalty, when it was debatable before. You used to be able to depend on a FA to recover 24% health in a sticky situation - and that’s been slashed to 15%. With the starting animation and the time it takes to scope Fl4k is left with 4 seconds and counting to do any damage whatsoever. Sure, that takes the oomph out of graveward farming, but how does that translate to being swarmed by 2 or 3 anointeds with my pet down? Rakks you say? Sure I’ll chuck a couple heavily resisted firebirds at them or some outright ignored cryobirds… I’m sure these numbers look good on paper and are good for a smirk or two from a salty Zane main but in practice it makes honestly one of the only well thought out, viable actions skills across ALL the characters totally underwhelming .

You misunderstood me entirely if you think I said Rakk is good. Its dmg falls off on mayhem 3 and the utility is mediocre at best. However, it has a low cooldown and recharge you can get down to 15 second.
Stalkers capstone lasts 15 seconds. Throw them together for a constant 25-50% buff. If you have the right annointed, add another 100% when action skill ends. Toss on your returned shots, double shot, etc from orange tree and luck out on a ludya. Land some crits on the right boss, i.e. graveward, and they die
quick (before the stag levels out after initial tip.)
Rakk is probably the worst fl4k action skill but it has the cooldown, instant cast, and charges to work well with stalker capstone and annointed procs. Fadeaway was the most appealing to me mechanically, and best orginally, but it got nerfed too much imo. Pet build never performed well enough for mayhem 3 which is a shame, but I wasnt shocked. Main soilder in the first two? Turrets didnt scale well… didnt think a pet would either. (Pet ai, melee range with ledges/flying, frenzy type buffs requiring frequent hits (smg jabber only likely to maintain)… pets are a nightmare to balance.)

Were Fl4k mains ever not using Unblinking Eye with gitm? Seems like that was half the combo. But yes I agree, nerfing the crit bonus has made Unblinking Eye more necessary.

His other action skills are awful though and its the reason why everyone was using guerillas in the mist. Even regular fade away is trash too because realistically what are you going to do with three hits?
Well yes it’s the skill that rounds the build out for sure, but if you look at how thins were pre-patch: 8 seconds boosted to nearly 11-12 depending on if you spec’d into persistence hunter AND with the additional 25% crit bonus - you could make an argument for maybe even just going 5 points into the stalker tree and getting the raw damage boosts elsewhere. Now there’s no choice
I was actually thinking about maybe getting a good roll on a “one punch” shotgun… 4000dmg with the 200% crit multiplier with unblinking eye could be crazy

I agree… but if the cooldown wasnt so high it could work to proc annointed buffs and you could use the 300% on high dmg slow shotguns/snipers.
Now Fl4ks crit choices are more hamstringed and the one action skill the performed at mayhem 3 took a hit. Instead, the right gun makes boss killing just as easy but a popular build on the most used class takes a hit and you lose gun diversity. Dont use calls
… just use ludya. Ironic given they said they wont add new characters since most people tend to stick with their mains. Lets just hamstring your choices on a main we dont think youll give up…

Tbh I haven’t even logged into the game. I just grone and do something else. They said in interviews they wouldn’t do this crap. They added the new dlc to b2 that gave tons of legendary drops. They falsely advertised legendaries raining from the friggin sky. Annointments 1 billion guns etc. The grind to get the exact version of the exact weapon artifact classmod etc I wanted would have taken forever. Now that’s impossible.
With drops rates in tvm on mayhem 3 dropping less often than most b2 bosses on uvh. I just don’t care. Congrats gear box you conned me out of $100. You just have to be added to the ever growing list of game companies no one can trust. Now go ahead and roll in microtransactions. I invision some kind of drop rate increasing purchasable bs. Like crapstiny 2s 3 of coins.
Guess they can give themselves a round of applause they duped us all.

Btw moze was my first character then flak. Then I tried a zane but he’s aweful and can’t solo bosses in the story mode to even get him started. Then I have an amara started but why bother if shes any good it would just be ruined anyway.

That is the problem. Its shifting more to needing specific gear/rolls and they arent easy to farm. Instead of fixing glitches they have focused on limiting faster farm methods.
Personally, I started Fl4k, then Moze, and then Amara due to aesthetics and styles as they interested me relatively. Im glad Zane was buffed since he seemed to be the lowest performing with limited builds… but he just appeals to me the least.
Hope they rebalance fadeaway with some buffs outside of gitm and ue being mandatory but until then, or rakk/pet get buffs, Ill probably use ludya cheese to farm and test out alts. Worst case they continue nerfing builds that become popular and I play something else on free time.
They are at risk of pulling the opposite of diablo 3, which took terrible drops and unbalanced classes from a huge let down to a good loot grinder by buffing.

I still routinely get multi legendary drops from graveward on M3 and M2 and ran a round of circle of slaughter with legendaries dropping at least once a wave.
Borderlands 2 was never this generous.

I was using that for a while before I got a kings fall which I didn’t like cause I play on ps4 it fired too fast and was impossible to aim.
