Well, win 10 should auto update DX11 files, and DX12 = perma claptrap for me, so it needs to mean something else or hell if i know. Gunna try render distance to ultra.

And BSoD again. Woooo. But hey, thanks for emailing me your week 1 highlights.

i don’t know if this helps but i had similar issues when my ssd was dying to me this sounds like system failure or somethings is about to break can you play other less demanding games without crashes?

I have run enough tests to conclude beyond a doubt that i have zero hardware faults.

I purchased 2 copies of BL3, one for my PC and one for my wife’s PC.
It works fine on my PC, but stops responding while loading on my wifes PC.
It wont show the claptrap loading animation etc, just a black screen until the Unreal, Gameware and Wwise splash screen shows. Then nothing…
Still shows CPU activity in task manager and slowly increases memory load.
These are the things I have tried so far:
All drivers updated
Windows 10 fully updated
Disabled Anti-Virus
DX11
DX12
UE4 Prereq
Remove and reinstall Epic and BL3
BIOS update
Disable motherboard sound
Disable Geforce HDMI sound
Disable all sound
Removed Geforce card and used on board AMD GFX
Fresh install of Windows 10

But, STILL the same result.
:frowning:

I opened a support ticket with 2K, explaining what I had already tried… Took them 3 days to respond and their solution was to change to DX11.
Clearly they didn’t read my explanation because I ALREADY DONE THAT!!!

I really feel like asking for a refund…

May I ask what is your wife’s pc specs ? If it works on yours, it should be working on hers right ?

Similar to my PC…
4Ghz AMD processor
1050ti GFX
8GB memory

Mine is:
4.2Ghz AMD Processor
RX 580 GFX
16GB memory

Yeah, 4 days and i was told the same. Think its a quick and easy copypasta to all tickets atm to get through the ones that have that easy fix issue

Everyone having issues seems to be running an nvidia card

I’ve removed the Nvidia card and tried with basic on chip AMD GFX.

Also, tried installing BL3 on an old intel gaming laptop. That just done the Claptrap forever loop.

I can get it to run with no issues by disabling my gpu and just using my intel chipset.

… at 10 fps and unplayable. But it wont crash.

The lack of support and responsibility of Gearbox and Epic is appalling.

https://www.geeksinphoenix.com/blog/post/2016/05/10/how-to-manage-windows-10-virtual-memory.aspx hopefully this may also help y’all, if not it’s at least harmless to do.

After viewing your DxDiag/MSInfo files, I found you are running a “Radar_Pre_Leak.” Error. Typically this error means that the Windows Driver and Graphics Driver are leaking memory. This error can sometimes cause the PC to crash/freeze or even encounter the infamous Blue Screen of Death. Unfortunately this is outside the mean of support we can offer here at 2K. This issue is actually one caused by Windows and as such would possibly require investigation from a Certified Microsoft Windows technician.

If there’s any other question pertaining to your account or In-game issues I’d be happy to assist you further.

2K Support

After nearly a full week, Nvidia has said contact MS/Gearbox; Microsoft has said contact Nvidia/Gearbox… And now gearbox has said “contact someone else”.

Im done. I have no idea which support team to be pissed at, so im just gunna be pissed at all 3.

GBS needs to work with Nvidia on this one. Seems to be an issue with the Nvidia drivers. Funny thought as I don’t have that issue with my RTX 2080Ti.

recent windows update seems to be the culprit, my game which was working on tues crashed with 0 available memory. windows seems to be the problematic one for all of these crashes really

I spent hours with them and got “dunno lol”

And by hours i mean days.

Also, did a full factory reset last night. Same issue.

Yeah they’re useless, had a whole remote support session with a tech and all he did was try and update my drivers and check for windows updates agter I’ve done all that and then some

The microsoft tech person i talked to tried to upsell me a $50-100charge. Did the src scan now and set a checkdisk before that. Scan now foind corrupt files it couldnt fix, and said “well we can fix this for you for $x.”. After it crashed again, i let the check disk run. At the end i was all “well, ill look into getting in contact with nvidia/gearbox again, and if need be figure out the corrupted files”. They said “what corrupted files?” And did another scan… Finding none.
