Corrupted save ps4. Please help

How much space do you have

I had a similar issue and it was down to lack of free space …

The system needs an amount of space to expand into for downloading content creating saves and other stuff … If you don’t have enough room the saves do not save correctly and can corrupt

Try deleting some content you no longer use to create space if that doesn’t fix it then you may need run some other tests to determine cause … But I don’t think it’s the game

Good suggestion, but has this problem with only one profile on 2 systems.

I don’t think is the game, at this point, either. Just trying to help.

And a new PSN account with the old one as Master (if the game is digital) ? her PSN account may be haunted (after all it is Halloween) …

Yes but I also think that he’s back loading a semi corrupted back up save that could be creating the problem on the second system

I would back up the saves to a usb … Then delete the cloud back up and the PS4 game saves n start afresh …

Basically were running a root cause analysis test …

Ruling one thing out at a time

True. Wish I had thought of that. Oh, except that he stated that he reformatted the hard drive and created a brand new character with that profile.

Everything is pointing at the PS4 profile or PSN account, and not the PS4 not the game…

Exactly my point

But he stated he couldn’t create new characters so I figured he’d fixed that issue then when back to the old game save

It’s too rare a bug and too volatile a bug fir it to be the game …

A bug if this nature would effect more and usually when a bug like this is found both Sony and the game developers push updates as it’s usually the interaction if the two

Is it a child account ?

Maybe it’s a 24 hour check on child account and it’s corrupted the save rather than simply locking it under the parental restrictions it may have in place

I don’t think, at this point, and from what I understand, that this has anything to do with Borderlands. I think this is something… grander. The PS4 or, more than likely, that pan profile.

In this case creating a new PSN account + new profile must help…

True. But, I suspect that the problem would disappear. I’m trying to help them determine the problem, which I currently suspect IS the profile.

Sorry I haven’t updated, it’s been a few days since I’ve really gotten to play much. We swapped consoles today and got to play for about an hour before I got the corrupted save error playing on her console. I’m currently in the process of resetting her ps4 pro back to original configuration, again. I’m then going to install the game off the disk that I’ve been using in my console, because at this point it can really only be one of 2 things. Either her ps4 doesn’t like borderlands 3, or it doesn’t like the digital copy.

Seeing how the game plays on her console with your disc install will tell us a lot. Hopefully , it works, and the issue is merely the downloaded digital copy.

Hang on… previously, you stated that her profile on your system received the same error?.. that is what was making me think was her profile. Did she download a cloud character, generated from her system, or create a new with her profile on your system?
If she created a new character on your system, with the disc install on it, then it still sounds like her profile. Then, you receive same error, with your profile, on her system…
Is this correct?
If so, then her corrupt digital download is corrupting the profile (as a Newly created character on another system, with a disc install still doesn’t work), or her PS4 system is? OR her ps4’s hardware/firmware is corrupting her profile?

She did receive a corrupted character save on my console, however I believe that we downloaded that character and it was created on her console. That may have corrupted it before it went to the cloud.

Whew! Good! Just checking. In that case, seeing if your disc install helps is a fabulous idea.
