Crossplay and Shift Account

So my PC has its own characters and my Xbox has its own characters. Am I going to lose any of them?
Both my PC and Xbox use the same SHift account.
Will I be able to Crossplay with my PC and Xbox accounts?

Your character profiles won’t merge under your SHiFT account. You’ll still play with your PC characters on PC and your Xbox characters on Xbox. You just get to play with more people on those platforms now!

The dreaded curse of the Xbox is not getting good items like a God roll Pearl without playing the entire game all over again. Was hoping to email myself or at least join my Xbox character and drop her one.
