My friend got borderlands 3 on epic games and me on steam. For some reason we can’t play together anymore are there issues with shift?

There is a problem that gearbox or whoever is still not acknowledging.
To work around it, you’ll have to remove each other from the friends list and re-add.

Did this just now, saw them pop up for a second, couldnt connect, then they vanished again.

I’d recommend you contact customer support about it, maybe they know a good workaround and if not, at least it’ll probably be filed as a bug and addressed in a future patch.

Hey, all, made a thread about this last week and Gearbox support told me they passed it on to the dev team to be addressed. Hopefully we do see it fixed soon.
