So I had free time and I always wanted to get the real test date on this done.
Here are my test subjects.

As you see the biggest change is difference in body shots while head shots are marginal.
I did not once use battlefront.

It’s interesting how the Volcano seems to do better with amp damage than the others? I would have assumed that the amp damage would have added the same value to each of the weapon damage stats, leaving the Volcano in a close third.

Amp gets hit by splash, 80% to 50% changes a lot with the bee

Is the splash different between the Volcano and the Snider?

Yeah 80 vs 50 but also the volcano got reduced damage for that 30% and that is why its usually worse off. Splash doesn’t crit so the lowered base damage does more harm than the extra splash can make up for unless you have something like the bee which makes the difference in damage not noticeable anymore or massive grenade buffs to boost the splash. Also the volcano gets grenade buffs, other maliwan snipers do not.

Thats why krieg and axton are the only 2 that can make it out perform a snider but on krieg its still not great because hes just not that great with snipers and axton its marginally better with a specific set up.

The few maliwan snipers where they left the splash alone, like the pimp are the best ones.

  • Volcano raised splash lowered base damage
  • Cher-ami removed splash for transfusion
  • Storm removed splash for the 5 orbs that are 10% each but also raised base damage

If they left the base damage on the volcano it would be really good
Cher-ami would be good if it had splash and orbs
Storm would be amazing if it had splash on the bullet and the orbs

The pimp is a blue snider but with the unlisted pellets and its amazing

At least this shows that it is mediocre and not crap.

That freaking aqua snider took me 6 hours to get also…

Stupid freaking game.
Kept dropping non-gemstone rakhells.
