Deande's slow movement speed makes no sense (an appeal to the devs)

To preface, someone who talks with the balance designer often passed on that they’re working on ways to keep her on her target. Exact what this means is unkown, but would likely help this problem.
You’re very accurate except for a few minor details.
Apparently, the agile and mobile labels indicate how helix choices and skills allow them to move better than other characters. With her (very small) dash, her left helix jump at level 1, beast of momentum, and escape plan, she does have multiple mobility options.
You cannot swap level 2 helices with level 5. Level 5 ALWAYS affects the passive. This is true for all characters, and likely why True Strike is Phoebe’s passive rather than talent.

Interesting tidbits
Montana is the only character slower than her (Alani was buffed in that regard)
There’s video of an IGN employee messing around with her. Her hitboxes are, larger, dash animation very different, and speed faster. She also attacked faster. This was all changed before release. Lump her in with Mellka as characters who got drastically changed pretty late (Mellka used to have a knock up like old Deande and stealth, as well as a much stronger melee

On topic, I agree with you. Good post. Good day

She still has Kunai. She throws them to mark targets for her ult. I get what you’re saying though

There are SO many secret areas. You should play it again with secret hunting in mind

Just run around it using her skills. From what i easily remember, there’s a hidden ledge with a big chest. A fence with two tinier ones. Basically, a ton of stuff not on the map. It’s what happens when you have a level actually designed for one character

Thank you for your post and clarification. I did realize some of the “rules” of their helix placements but I didn’t notice that one.

If level 2 and 5 can’t be swapped, then they could make the slow on “The Element of Surprise” by default (similar to Shayne) and change the Silent Strike Helix to something else.

If not, then it still shouldn’t be that big of a deal if the other changes were made.

He was talking about Ghalt’s slug rounds were over-powered and how they could return to him without breaking balance. It was my fault for that off-topic.

Ah, my mistake. Thanks for clarifying.

Ooh good idea

Battleborn 2017
Everyone has a slow at lvl 1

24 of 28 have CC by lvl 2 except Deande. All of the assassins have slows by lvl 1 except for Phoebe who gets hers at lvl 2. So it makes sense.

I’m just joking
I think it’s a good idea

Battleborn 2018
Everyone has Oscar Mike’s assault rifle, Orendis helix options, and looks like Attikus
Actually that sounds amazing. Scratch that

Do you have the link to that video?

I agree with the OP. If you try to engage an enemy you will get like 2 hits and sprint it off cause Deande will not catch you. Also her throwing fans, yeah, you have to be really accurate.

Also Rath has great movement/sprint speed and the reason why phoebe doesn’t have the same amount of sprint speed is because she has true strike. And deande? Well you can’t chase enemies and then use your fans which will be about 60+ dmg and assuming that the enemy is far away you won’t hit the double fans

When she had her knock up i was oky with her speed and need of accuracy to keep an enemy in range and in the air.

It was a good trade off, slow,l ow hp and high skill to juggle and be awear of their team.

My first time vs a deande i had no ■■■■■■■ idea of how to get her off me, then i saw a good player (montana) quick meele her all the match, it was funny how he would poke her away xD.
