I see your point with that- the Barroom Brawl kind of fits that description. A few more areas like that would spice things up a bit, especially in the harder game modes, whatever they might be…

I think you misunderstood my opinion.
It’s not about being realistic or not.
It’s about breaking the game.
I’m pretty sure the dev didn’t design Bosses/Raid Bosses to see them OS or 30-sec-killed because of pre stacking CA or Anarchy or whatever else…:unamused:
Bosses and moreover RaidBosses are designed to offer a challenge and a great battle for the players.
That’s my opinion, of course.

If I want to play more realistic, I just equipe The Bee and here I am

A good idea would be to have bigger vehicles with possible gunner seats to shoot weapons from. this would make some missions much more exciting. Another thought to coincide with your modifications would be to make to make levels of white, green, purple blue, legendary. For the motor, guns you want on it, nitrous, wheels the whole car.

Every boss would have a unique drop, no one loot pool would be shared with other enemies. To increase variety. Make actual melee weapons for each character with skills in one tree or other so they can be used at endgame. Also many skills when approaching level cap wind up not being as good as when they started to become useful. Just some thoughts.

You may be right- but if in beta/game testing no play testers did any of that, it shouldn’t be held against any players that did once the game was delivered for sale. It could be that it might have happened too late in the game’s development to address this- but if they have blurbs saying that Sal can gunzerk with a sniper rifle and a rocket launcher during the loading screens (leading to all the shenanigans that entails), then maybe they have no problem with CA and Anarchy being pre-stacked…:sunglasses:

Rather than making a separate post, you can separate with a triple dash (—), demonstrated below.

On topic, larger and varied vehicles has previously been explored.

I did work up an air vehicle concept, but it got pretty…tangled when I tried working out the standards of a ground vehicle – particularly seating, everyday shuffling, and strong-yet-balanced weapons – and especially the design. On the design, maybe something less like the Bandit Buzzard and more like the Republic Gunship (LAAT)…:

…although I was thinking a pilot up front, two other players in the side doors, and the last player controlling a combination ventral ball turret/tail gun akin to that used in the B-24 Liberator…:

…although this might require a twin-tailed design like the OV-10 Bronco:

Going back to it, the whole thing would function like a V-22 Osprey, which would also enable exiting via fast-rope. If the vehicle is destroyed while it is occupied and in the air, the occupants would immediately jettison via parachute or jetpack, although the latter would not be strong enough for sustained flight; if it’s not a system feature, it’d likely be a disposable evac measure.
The pilot would also be able to pick from a selection of forward-firing weapons pods mounted under the wings – dumb-fire rocket pods, homing missiles pods, or auto-cannons – while the gunners would get miniguns. In the event it’s just two people in the vehicle, the tail gunner gets control of all guns, with the potential to fire the tail gun and one of the door guns at the same target if it falls into an FoF overlap.

As for larger vehicles, what about expanding the Sandskiff into something like the Bandit Technical? Truly all-terrain, driven by one, with seats for three, and the passengers can use either 1) the vehicle’s mounted weaponry, or 2) their personal weapons and Action Skill.

I put Destiny down. I have yet to do so with BL. In between Fallout4, Metro 2033, and Witcher3 that is.

The definition of a raid boss is one requiring special tactics and gear, often multiplayer. I can’t agree that BL raids don’t require player skill. They vary, and vary in difficulty depending on character, but some characters fighting certain ways v some bosses require a ton of skill (consistency/understanding of mechanic, ammo, health and mob management etc) to beat. That’s the real beauty of gbx’s raids, you can decide: farm or fight. Even before op, players choose their challenge.

Comparing it to the other big title, where its even worse. One raid, a steady team to play with or your left with random hell, and the return of the ■■■■■■■■ rng drop mechanic that plagued bl2.

Now for an idea: say a mmo area. A coop team can start shooting anyone outside their group. Would it even be possible to make it work with 4 or five ‘teams’ of from solo to 4 coop? Imagine some reward system for passing through such an area in various ways… Put a weapon up for win or lose it. Gain a reward accordingly. Think slaughter dome were the waves are teams.

I managed to shelve destiny the past month or so as well. I’ll come back to it though. Taken King content added a lot. But it had been too long since I had focused on Borderlands. The recent patching of BL2 and TPS drove me back. That, and the backwards compatibility mode for Borderlands 1.

Manufacturer-specific enhancements in regards to the grenade mod: http://borderlands.wikia.com/wiki/Grenade_Mod

  • Bandit grenades: More child grenades
  • Maliwan/Torgue grenades: Stronger damage over a wider area
  • Tediore grenades: Longer throwing arc (=Lobbed/Thrown prefixes)
  • Vladof grenades: Faster travel time (=Homing variant prefixes)

A villain about as crazy as Dread Lord Sinister:

I could go on and on about such desires but for now I’ll keep it short and add more ideas later.

BL1 drop rates/mechanics: This was something that I’ve always missed from the first game and I’d love if it could make a return. This isn’t to say that we can’t have the BL2 method in which individual bosses have a higher chance to drop specific legendaries, in fact I think that move was a good one, but the way they seemed to work in the first game gave plausibility to killing random grunt enemies and opening just about any container in order to find good loot that we just don’t see in BL2 or even the Pre Sequel. Not to mention how the pay off for finally bringing down Craw Sr. showered us with legendaries whereas future raid bosses would only be seen as generous if we even got one. It wasn’t a perfect system and could use some work, after all most of the legendaries that I got from Craw Sr. were equalizers and volcanoes, but at least seeing that brief shower of orange and purple weapons made it seem like I actually got a worthwhile reward for such a grueling fight.

Manufacturer vending machines: This was something that was going to be a part of BL2 but sadly got cut and after seeing the Torgue Machine in it’s respective add on, I’d also love it if we got the rest of them in. At first I thought they’d work best with special currency but when I realize just how worthless money is across all of the games, maybe being able to buy blues/purples or even an orange item of the day from these machines with ingame money wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. It’d certainly give players a good reason to spend money and thus be a little more careful with it by not playing so recklessly that they die constantly.

Return of the Grinder: A lot of people believe that the Grinder is an awful thing that damages the game somehow but I say phooey to that, I freaking love the thing and everything about it. Turning items you wouldn’t even look at into something worth while is a clever idea and being able to use the special currency that you’d previously only use for storage deck upgrades or raid bosses for even better loot is the icing on the cake.

yo can we get pickle as a playable character in bl3

Cor Blimey!

My opinion is add a new class of weapon, the upgradable weapon where you sacrifice other weapons with the same values to make the weapon more powerful and unique, also these should be really unique and if they want one is given when you pre-order. Also add a new slot for an item that can add unique character moves or gameplay changes that are not available normally, like in the second game when you sound like hamsome jack, it could have been an item you equiped and you could keep for the rest of the game. Make a character sound like there on helium, equip the item? make a character sound like they fart from time to time, equip that and some characters will even comment on the “strange noise”

Bring back Jack’s original Doppleganger, Timothy Lawrence as he’s more than likely still alive.

Don’t know if this has been addressed yet but I want your ECHO device to give a ‘perfect parts’ list recommendation when you find gear. It would be a lot easier for me to know what are considered perfect parts for an item if the parts guide was included- maybe make unlocking the guide part of a quest or achievement/trophy?

Probably unrealistic but I think a fun idea would be a “body count,” in which after the main credits in a playthrough the number of how many enemies you’ve taken out is displayed. (basically just like Star Fox 64) The count would be reset if the playthrough is reset, but perhaps a total number can be kept on record in the main menu.

I don’t know if this would be a good idea. The idea of Borderlands is to find all these randomly generated weapons and figure out yourself what works best for you. With that in mind, how do you define the “perfect” parts on some gun anyway? It can be entirely dependent on the situtation, abilities and playstyle.

And even if developers came to conclusion about “best” parts in any weapon type, I wouldn’t want the game to rub in the “fact” that this gun wasn’t the best possible one I could’ve gotten. I just want to find out myself if it’s good enough for me.

How about some kind of scoreboard which shows up after each quest, or raid, or map instead of each playthrough?

Ah, you’re probably right- but I wouldn’t mind seeing some poster ads from the different manufacturers in game with a list of their weapons and the different parts that go into them- that way when you get a weapon you at least have an idea of what to look for. I’ve never been a big parts person so just having an idea of what the accuracy add on part looks like would be a big help…
