This is what I think BL3 should be: Instead of one world with tons of areas, there should be multiple worlds with a couple of areas. ex: one world would be like two or three head hunter packs. Like Torgue and Moxxi could have control of their own world and the six characters from BL2 could have unique missions (Krieg would probably be with Maya). While Lilith, Brick, etc would stay in sanctuary because of roland, but they could take over Jack’s space station and have someone control it so you could talk to them and get missions. With raid bosses; they would get a world or a section of a world to themselves (Like it would’ve been cool to visit the world that Pete destroyed). I think the currency should stay the same, since It’s money, eridium, crystals, and adding more would get confusing. With my idea, they could do so many things story and Dlc wise. ex: One Dlc is that gaige sends you to destroy the police on her planet, so she can go home, or for the story, you have to protect the vaults from Hyperion. With the weapons, just have good weapon balance, don’t have it where a gun 3 levels under you is worthless in combat. With this idea, I believe BL3 would be really fun. Like, helping Zero find One; or getting a mission from Krieg where he screams about meat, then having Maya explain it; or even helping claptrap do something stupid.
I would like people to give their thoughts and opinions on my Idea, both good and bad. I know there are areas that I didn’t touch on, like level cap, or If there should be another Jack character, etc, so discuss it.
(Also, I hope someone from gearbox can see my Idea haha.)

Improve the whatever BAR system will be in BL3, so that the public games will not be full of people with insane BAR’s. (Better if completely removed )

All I want is my PC to be able to run it.

I think Pearls have their little niches, barring the Godfinger (AFAIK), which seems to be useless. For example, a Fire Sawbar used against Tinder Snowflake, when he is distracted by Axton’s turrets, is a very quick way to take him out, providing you know how to use it to it’s full potential (in this case having all the split bullets hit his crit spot). I suppose the same could be said for the Godfinger, considering I’ve only found one, at OP6, with Sal.

This might’ve already been suggested, but show the full list of stats rather than 5 at a time.

Squad vehicles like the Technical become more damage-resistant (but loses some speed) with more passengers aboard; inversely, it is faster (but less damage-resistant) with fewer passengers aboard.

Inventory Snapshot Mode. Functions like the camera mode in “MGS4: Guns of the Patriots” where you can export it to your drive as a JPEG (or similar) format. Extremely useful for threads like: Item Finds of the Day BL2

All loot drops at your difficulty. I could care less about the rarity, but running OP8 and getting a Legendary at anything but is just…I have no words. Pretty sure I’m not the only one annoyed at this.

Probably as many of us, there should be an option to play with voices in one language and subtitles in other. There is a lot of people who wants to play BL2 in Japanese with English subtitles, or in my case, English with Spanish subs.

After you ask, yes. We the people from spanish speaking America despise spaniard dubbing.

Another thing to consider is relevant information being displayed.

If B2’s case becomes standard, a player that has gone into the OP range should have their precise OP level displayed in-session and on the matchmaking list (if they’re hosting).
If you’re in a session, you would see the squad list like the following, as host or joiner (respectively):

  • << [mod name and character level] [P1’s name]
  • << [mod name and character level] [P2’s name]
  • << [mod name and character level] [P3’s name]

  • :star: [mod name and character level] [P1’s name]
  • << [mod name and character level] [P2’s name]
  • << [mod name and character level] [P3’s name]
By the character’s level, this would be Lv72 or OP# in B2, and the players would be listed from highest level downward to the lowest, or vice versa (if you so choose). In this way, you can determine at a glance</font color> things like walking fraggers, folks who no longer needs power-leveling (when you’re hosting such a session), etc.

Clarifying what I call a “walking fragger”, a fragger is a gaming term for someone who intentionally kills their teammate(s); by walking, this is meant to be done passively.
Thanks to UVHM level-scaling of enemies based on the strongest player in the session, it only takes the mere presence of a far stronger player to get everyone else killed.

For players that power-level others on higher difficulties, sub-max players (=1-71 for B2) should have to display their XP bar, eliminating the need for other players to even ask the question of how far along they are.

I would like:

  • no ****ing double jumps, low gravity, or jump pads. I hate those. I want movement to feel like BL2.

  • 4 + 2 (DLC) new classes, plus return of old classes. Axton, Maya, Timothy, Zero, and maybe others return.

  • all zones and drops scale based on player level.

Adventure Mode. No story, just randomised maps/bosses/loot/challanges (only unlocks after a playthorugh, of course).

  1. Definitely remove the jump pads and zero-G, but what say you to the double-jump as a class specialization? Like say that Zero basically gets an “MGR:R”-level upgrade that then allows him to do this (and the slide I mentioned), making him an HBFS Assassin.
  2. I can agree to that, and with some upgrades: Things you wished the classes had?
  3. Definitely. Can’t tell you how annoying it is to run OP8…and a Tubby drops an OP6 Legendary.

EDIT: LOL, I think I’m onto something there with Zero’s upgrading…

i was thinking maybe we can have a heat seeking rocket that in turn for being heat seaking it will do less damage but big blast radius so high levels running through low level areas and do it without the annoyance of them slowly eating are shuild away on are way there

Like Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls. I’d be down for that.

That’s the one - in BL it could be called…wait for it…Mercenary Mode! There couldn’t be a better fit for the series. If BL3 has drop rates similar to the current rates, there could even be missions to retrieve particular guns; “Kill this boss over here and return with this gun to Marcus” kind of thing.

Story-wise:

BL3 takes place after an undetermined amount of time, following the events depicted at the end of BL2/TPS.
We don’t know what the VHs were told as of yet, only that all the remaining ones are in. No “new” VHs (and by “new” I mean yes, Tina is “not” and thus, has to be in).

We join a group of them as they arrive on a new planet, after opening several Vaults on uninhabited worlds.
This one has a twin sister in the vicinity, and commercial exchanges occur daily between them.
One of them is a big deserted place, with few oasis of life here and there, like “The Dahl Headlands” (BL1) but on a bigger scale, with underground villages.
The other one would feature bigger cities, like “Old Haven” (BL1) but once again, on a bigger scale.

The Vault would be buried randomly in one of them, and the key to open it on the other one.
This would possibly change each new playthrough, with each planet featuring several possible locations.

At the start, the VHs would be able to choose where to land.
Then, due to some sort of malfunction caused by either the environment or some technical issues with the ship, all their equipment would be destroyed.
They would then be stuck on this planet for a while, with no means to contact either Sanctuary or some sort of mothership they would have.
That would also mean no “friendly shops” for quite some time: no Marcus, no Moxxi, no Scooter and no Zed.

The VHs would start with a base skillset inherited from one of the various famous builds of the previous games.
Those skills would then expand each level due to the gifts granted by the Vaults they found before.
They would also have their slots (not the backpack) filled with good equipment (at least blue) related to the chosen skillset.
Those in need of ammo would be helped with an artifact/relic that would regenerate their weapons during a good portion of the game.

After making some impressive discoveries, they’d be able to contact their friends and find a way to make them settle on either one of the planets, and expand.
This would unlock shops: weapons, ammo, skills/skins changes, proper vehicles…
The vending machines wouldn’t randomly feature legendaries. Keeping the VHs from being on the field is not a good idea.
If a grinder was to be added/kept, it would only be able to recycle known equipment and by no means would it be able to randomly generate every available weapon in the loot pool.
Opening the Vault would finally unlock the mysteries introduced by BL2/TPS endgames and this would lead to the big finale.

Technical side:

I’d like to see customizable (dedicated) servers, with:

  • characters playable on solo and on unaltered servers
  • characters only playable on customized servers

And:

  • stronger security for saves so that we know when we play with someone who has likely tempered with them
  • gameplay that keeps the best from BL1 & BL2, no need to re-invent the wheel, especially when it works

This. I run Sal on OP8 for the Pearl drops, nearly got them all. However, when I discovered that a Pearl I hadn’t got (Godfinger) was OP6/7, I could have cried.

There’s nothing more frustrating than finding non-at-level gear.

I thought this was a pre-Warrior thing. Kinda pissed to find beating the Warrior didn’t do a damn thing. Even the VMs are not exempt – the items aren’t a simple tier drop down to OP7, the level of items pyramids downward rather sharply toward OP6 and green>white:

I also find irritation with the item rarity in the VMs. Consider the above grouping as orange/purple, blue, and green for rarity of the Item of the Day (IOD). The IOD is said to be better than the other items in the VM’s selection, but that’s ruined when the VM runs a majority-green rotation and rolls a green IOD. At the least, make the IOD’s rarity blue-or-better.

Another thing to fix would be enemy behavior when a player is in FFYL: Things the AI has done to piss you off
This would also tie in well with my previous suggestion that NPCs cannot clear an area of all enemies, which frustrates many a player. The most well-known is Brick in Thousand Cuts, clearing out Loaders and rendering 2Ws practically impossible.

Another thing -- YTH is Brick the only one able to damage the beacons' shields?

If the weapon prefixes are completely accurate here…: Max Stat Gear Lists
…YTH does “Reload speed” increase</font color> decrease</font color> shotgun/SMG reload speed?
