Haha same

There HAS to be a Nova character at some point. There’s no way they could so obviously set something up like that and then not have it pay off.

Well, its just that I try to not expect to much or make assumptions early, this prevents me from being dissappointed  Of course I hope we´ll get Nova as playable character, but I´ll not count or bet on it until they truly announce it.
If the last LLC char will not be Nova I hope it will be some kind of transformer magnus, with an Ult to transform into something awesome. Like the mechs in Power Rangers, only less stupid and more badass.

What if he’s a ISIC-like psychopath Magnus AI that basically put Kleese’s grandson face on his robot suit after skinning him alive or something? Does he still looks dumb to you ? :stuck_out_tongue:

Kid Ultra is Mega Man’s crazy child spawn!

Wouldn’t mind it looking the size of caldi, but hoping a taunt is the suit opens up and shows you got beat by a disproportionate baby…the best ever

I’ve used thorn in advanced difficulty with the highest kills and points.
People who complain about using her in the pvp arena really don’t know how to utilize her skills.

If this kid ultra’s anything. Hell, he might explode into a large mech for all I know.

If that’s what Galilea is, than what’s Rath?

I think it would look better if it didn’t have the tiny hip joints. It’s a bulky robot suit, but the legs look they pop right off. Same with the supports connecting the fins(wings?). The hole in the chassis seems out of place too.
Other than that I think the grin makes the whole head much more annoying to look at than it would be without it.

The same thing… if I had thrown a copy of Twilight into the mix

They didn’t realize that Nova was so popular. I was talking to @Jythri and he said that while nothing is confirmed, the idea of a Robot Suit Nova character is very popular internally.

I was trying to get him to commit to confirming her in round 2 of dlc, but no dice. ;^; I only cried a little bit.

Wow, that’s crazy. It doesn’t seem pike they’d set something like that up without any intention of delivering on it. We should definitely push for it.

Wait, wait. I take it back. Thinking about it, I remember a pretty massive setup at the end of Dragon Keep that they never delovered on grumble**grumble

@Battleborn

Mmmm Dragon Keep…

What undelivered setup was that?

Or the spore monsters in No Man’s Sky. Oooh, or everything else in No Man’s Sky.

No but seriously, they thought she was just going to be a character that was fun to listen to, but no one would really want it. Nova is best grill.

Though it does amuse me how aware Battleborn is of this. If Marquis kills Rath, he has a LOT of quotes to hit him on this. My favorite being
"Don’t you have a corner to be writing dark poetry in?"
Or something like that

Remember the very end of the campaign? Somebody, I think Maya, has been interrogating a Hyperion goon during the course of the campaign. After the game is over, she comes in and asks who’s ready to raid he Hyperion moon base. It never happens. They released like five more miniature holiday DLCs, but no raid on the moon base.

As much as I know it was never even planned to do that as DLC.
They never promised this line of Maya would result into a DLC, so yeah, they did not deliver something they never promised or planned in the first place.

I always thought its just a hint to the Pre-Sequel and were it might take place.

They may not have PLANNED on making, but they definitely IMPLIED that they were going to. In storytelling, an implication like that is called a setup. The result of a setup is called a payoff, and in this case that payoff never came. Apparently the whole Robot Nova was meant to be the same thing.

It’s also lnown as Checkhov’s Gun, from the Anton Checkhov quote “Remove everything that has no relevance to the story. If you say in the first chapter that there is a rifle hanging on the wall, in the second or third chapter it absolutely must go off. If it’s not going to be fired, it shouldn’t be hanging there.” In this case the rifle would be the mention of Nova’s robot suit.

They could start bl3 that way…

Well, they implied that there´ll be a point in BL-history where the Vaulthunters raid that base, yes. But GBX never said it would happen in BL2. Or even as playable scene on-screen at all.
As @Derch said, it could happen in BL3, or could have happen in one of the “Tales of”-parts or in a future game of the franchise. Many parts of BL-story get mentioned yet take part “off-screen”.
