2 Legendary, 3 Epic, 3 Rare is definitely a GOOD run, by any mission’s standards. Not the craziest I’ve seen – I know I had an Algorithm run during Lootpocalypse that produced Legendaries from all 4 bosses: Henchman, Geoff, Guardian and ISIC, and a few other missions as well where they all dropped orange, but that was Lootpocalypse.
I’ve never seen more than 1 Legendary in a pack. That’s wild.

If you did it on normal, then yes, your RNG was really lucky. If you did it on advance, better than average but not unheard of.

On normal yes.
Did the Renegade just now once to finish mastering Oscar Mike (waaaay more fun mission than Algorithm, in my opinion) and got an absolutely horrendous loot drop so I got both ends of the RNG spectrum in 2 missions.
Lucky, but you can be more lucky. I once got 2 legandaries from just Geoff. (The same one twice, and I already had that legendary at least 5 times BUT STILL!)
Legendaries really haven’t been that rare after that one update in which they made legenadries less rare.
Congrats though, especially on normal. Sometimes you can still get unlucky and get like… no legendary. (Or… You know… Random example: You keep farming 1 specific boss… Maybe on the Saboteur or something, the legendary from the Malinger… The shard generator, and after beating that thing at least 30 times he only dropped the reload speed thing twice. Random example, never happened to me. Nope. Not. At. All. :,( )

renegade only has a CHANCE for a single drop per mission. minus epics from the red chests. Not sure if you can get legendaries from those. made a thread about that a while back but it was inconclusive so if anyone has a screenshot or video of them getting a legendary from a chest please share.
and yes i agree it is a more fun mission.
But back to the point, you’re already lucky to get anything from that mission. granted all hyles’ legendaries are all decent but still.
What needs to happen is that some of the pack legendaries need to be taken out of packs and put in as drops from the little mini bosses on each control point that for some reason don’t have an assigned drop. Or atleast that what i wan’t to see happen, but I can only dream.
As for the archive and heliophage…

Almost every run (on Xbox) I manage to get 2 or sometimes 3 legendaries. A few times Geoff dropped the Firmware Update twice on one run just like others. But I can’t get any other legendary from loot or other missions to save my career. Like I spent days trying to get One-4-All Shield Array. No luck but I can go through the Algorithm and get 8 legendaries in a couple of runs. That’s when I enjoy a glass of bleach on the rocks

It’s definitely a good run, no doubt about it.
However, now that RNGesus has given you your good run, you can now expect him to be standing on the other side of the river for a very long time to come.
Maybe you should’ve used your accrued luck on the next discount event instead.
RNGesus never stood by my side -ever.
He has forsaken me.
He will mock and ridicule me as I open nothing but greens and other garbage that I can’t properly use.
Do not despair child.
RNGesus is merely testing your faith as he tests us all. Follow him with all your heart and all your soul and all your wallet and your rewards will be great in the years to come.

Lowlines (a guy who looks at all the data of the game and makes helpful tools) says that there’s no chance for legendaries to roll from chests. It starts with epic and then goes down

I had a run on Voids Edge with some Random Helix points, 2 Legendaries, 2 Epics and 2 Rare Loot Packs one out of a chest and one as a Challenge Reward…
If more runs would be so rewarding, it would sure keep my spirits up.
On a side note: I have only encountered Loot Packs in Big Chests on Advanced + Hardcore… has anyone seen these on an easier difficulty?
Loot Packs are really rare, so it wouldn’t be much of a surprise to meet them only on the highest difficulty possible.
I realize now I got one from Renegade on normal last week while polishing off Oscar’s lore.
Rest of the drops were absolute garbage, though.

The good thing is that any pack can potentally contain better than the Rank it is… and even if it’s only garbage the Pack brings more credits.
I once was mad at my friend cause I got a Green Pack and he got an Epic Pack when we cleared a rangom challenge… he taunted me.
But when we opened it he only got Garbage and I had a Legendary gear in it… then I taunted him.
Cherish every Pack, you never know what it holds for you. Just don’t forget to thank RNGesus after a blessing of good fortune!

Can’t exactly thank RNGesus when he has done nothing for me lately.
Still feeling sad at how he taunts me on the other side of the river -meanwhile he took the boat along with him.
Up to this point, never found a legendary outside of faction packs.
