Does the Lob proc Short Fuse multiple times?

If it does, taking SRPM should outperform DM, no?

To be honest I could hardly tell, I think each ball had a chance to proc it. I just saw some crazy numbers like a million sometimes but honestly I’m already 1 shotting every type of mob in there so one way or the other doesn’t matter lol. I built into SOR originally because I was using BBB due to originally having the 160% splash anoint but I kept it even when switching back to re-charger because I just like the extra survivability potential since the damage is already super amazing. Per ball it definitely didn’t proc multiple times at least I don’t think so it’s hard to tell with all the number spam.

Oh ok, I had read on here someone thought it did.

Haha sounds like they will likely be toning this gun down next hotfix.

Tested it this morning. It CAN indeed proc multiple times off a single ball. The way I tested was firing then swapping weapon real quick so it only fired 1 ball out. I guess that explains why MOD keeps up with the ammo so well.

Can it crit?

It can crit on the dummy but in practice I think it’s quite hard to actually crit with it. Pretty sure I’ve seen a crit now and then though.

That’s wild, will fit right in with the SF/RPM/SSB builds

I’ve slipped a 160 splash shock version into my Torgue build, but it’s a toss up as to whether I should shoot the ground for splash bonus or attempt to crit shortfuse at head height. I think it’ll really shine with an amp shield, but I’m still farming for a workable version.

Probably depends what you’re fighting. That’s what I’m kind of looking forward to when I get some lobs. A little variety with it instead of holding the trigger down.

I was trying an unanointed shock Lob on the Jack dummy, Short Fuse, 5/5 SRPMs, 5/5 SSB. Blast Master, 33% aoe.

The orbs seemed to max at 78k, but SF would hit for 157k. Maybe just higher than I expected due to double dipping in splash. But it’s a significant dps boost when it hits, and it seems to hit quite a bit

Orb would do more with shotgun/weapon damage. Is AoE your only artifact?

I took off my com and artifact both and I think it’s showing multiple SF explosions in one damage number. One orb would do like 19k and SF would hit for 21k sometimes.

I found out something interesting. 55% Torgue projectile speed gives the orbs double the distance. They still explode in about 5 seconds.

SF usually hits for more. You’re better off ignoring the skill saying 75%. While that is part of the formula, it isn’t the final result.

Twas me; I couldn’t tell due to chaos of SS. But looked like it was. Looks like @kabflash made sure.

And yes, it’s amazing for Short Fuse and MoD as a result; ergo, should work well with a consecutive hit annointment. I think Brainstormer is better overall to get max stacks; then swap to Lob with the same annointment… While tossing CMT… You should be beyond golden, and able to maintain stacks… Until you run out of stuff to kill, that is.

I just found a cryo one with the +5% damage/reload kill stack annointment; haven’t tried it yet. Think it’ll be stupid, because using a fire Lob without annointment, (well, IB cool down, but still) I was able to blast though shields, armor, flesh, whatever. Didn’t switch weapons once.

This cryo one with kill stacks will utterly decimate SS.

It’s especially good with Moze. She never has to reload. It’s ridiculous. I’m having a lot of fun with it. I didn’t even think about the potential with the transformer.

I have a fire lob without any annointment and wow, I can’t believe how insanely powerful it is. I’ve replaced my fire kybs worth with it but, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Lob got some kind of nerf. I hope that doesn’t happen of course

Going to quote myself here because after several more runs between different elements. I’ve grown to like the Cryo/125% version the best in Slaughter. It’s a close competition but I think overall the cryo version egdes out the rest.

Exactly, Cryo > all others
I’m running the 160 im my Torgue build and it has a 25 mag size, it’s never runs out of ammo. I will look for the 125 incendiary asap.

You might try investing less in Mag size if you are taking skills for it you don’t need them. With just 1 point in redistribution and MOD I can easily keep a 16 mag full and while wearing Transformer as well I had no issues at all full spamming a 12 mag. --This is in a Short Fuse build which does make a difference as extra MOD procs.
