Do people only use 1 VH?

If that’s a % of people who’ve played at least the first mission, it’s probably true that most of them only played 1 VH - most of them never made it to the end of the story even once in BL2.

I have all VH’s through both playthroughs, maxed to 50, all except 1 through the DLC, and working on getting gear of choice for all… and I’m ready for more vault hunters and levels. The big sticking point for me, right now, is getting good anointed gear for them, due to bad drop rates.

If a game offers me multiple characters, I frequently try all of them.

The data is the data. The issue is more what conclusions can you safely draw from it. Numbers don’t lie, but they can sure confuse the heck out of people!

I would have to say that I am the opposite of this post in general. I always have 1 VH I never touch and never play.

BL1: Never played Mordecai
BL2: Never played Salvador
Bl3: Looks like not playing Amara.

Mr confused right here regarding the data data is data you’re right, but from reading the forums im pretty sure the majority would have at least 2 VH’s and if you look at the stream teams and youtubers they are promoting multi classes with their content

Exactly. Based on trophy completion rates alone, however, that’s not the majority of people who have played Borderlands. I posted else-thread about the fact that more people have completed the character-specific achievements in BL2 for Axton than Maya than Zer0 than Salvador and in that order, despite the BL2 meta that all you need is Sal.

That’s a headscratcher of a stat, I would never have thought Axton was up there and Sal last, I’ve always been a siren man myself

Cool, just outta curiousity would you just solely play Fl4k in bl3 or lets say if they introduced a new VH would that interest you ?

I wouldn’t completely rule out starting a new character (I do have a Zane…at lvl 10 lol) but given how I’ve played literally every other Borderlands game: probably not. I definitely wouldn’t pay for it.

I mean I would be happy that other people who want that option have it, but I can honestly state that another vault hunter holds zero interest for me.

I think you may need to consider those on these boards may represent 10-20% of the bl players. Those who enjoy the game and want to get the most from it.

The remaining 80% will play it, complete it and never go back to it.

If that 80% just works with one VH, no matter the view of the 10-20% , 1 vh will be majority.

However the piece NOT to be short sighted about, is its the 10-20% however that keep the online game alive.

I only use Zane. Historically, I’ve only ever stuck with one VH per game.

I’m a Zane main, done both modes with him, moderately well-geared out. I don’t have a lot of time for co-op so hoping to get some Takedown done to pump him up a bit further during the event.

I’ve started Amara (helping a friend experience the game) and Moze (solo as a change from Zane, seeing how far I can get without using any skills). Will play FL4K at some point, but my friend is at the mo, so waiting til after then.

Will likely use Zane first through any DLC or future content, he’s definitely my favourite. Zer0 was my choice in BL2; I barely think I got to TVHM with anybody but him (and spent a good 300 hours across a couple of Zer0 playthroughs). Going back further, I think Brick, originally, from BL1? I had a Mordecai playthrough too, and I can’t remember that far back reliably

I have every VH in BL3 to 50 (except Zane who I haven’t played at all) and with at least some progress into TVHM. I’m farthest along with Amara but I started with Fl4k. I really liked Fl4k but the pet was literally driving me crazy so it pushed me to Amara which I have been liking for the most part. I like Moze as well but ironically don’t like IB very much. I just like the shields and endless mags. Not sure if I will ever even play Zane. He just doesn’t appeal to me for some reason.
