/shrug what’s a girl to do
If anything I wish I specialised more.
Honestly I keep losing my mains. Pick up a character I like suddenly feel there weaknesses and move on to the next character. I am constantly trying to find which characters best fit my playstyles and I am still learning how I like to play personally. I love assassins but I am quite fond of ambra and Alani when I need to go support. I will say that I will probably trying to play more orendi, Kleese, Ernest, and gali as I am throwing out my own and other people’s feelings about how these characters are balanced. I been currently stuck on Benedict for a bit but am trying to ween myself off of him.
To answer your question, no. I main 5 characters, 3 I call my primary, in which I rotate through when going up against high rank players. The other 2 I usually rotate when paired up against low rank players. I prefer if everyone had a “few” characters that they’re REALLY good with for competitive play. I hate it when people pick a character they are not familiar with into a high ranked pvp match cause then you’re pretty much a liability to your team. If someone is good with every character then good for them, I recommend finding the characters that best suited your play style and feel confident in playing as and always use them when fighting against people around the same rank as you. The more and more you play as the same characters the better you get with them.
-Slow claps-
Battleborn forces you, poor lass.
Anyways!
I don’t feel guilty towards the enemy for always playing the same characters, I do feel guilty towards myself. If I keep playing Miko and Toby, I’m never going to master everyone. And I’m a filthy completionist too! My soul hurts, really.
What about the last 3 picks? I am sure they aren’t melka…
She can scroll down. It’s where Toby whiskey and somebody else usually are
The group that I play with go random quite often, its an easy way to get to know each character. The results arent too bad considering we can all play every character to a relitively good standard, well we like to think we can anyway.
I feel like I don’t play Phoebe ENOUGH. She is currently my 2nd most used in PVP, most used is Alani the Accursed. I was forced to play her when she first came out because I played with some friends of mine that were huge cowards.
I try to fill in positions on my team rather than snap pick. Don’t want to pick Phoebe and have no support or something.
I “play” many characters. i really only “main” support atm.
Play:
alani, ambra, gali, montana, ernest, kelvin, (now) mellka, miko, isic, kleese, phoebe, KU, orendi, reyna, and toby
Main:
Ambra, Alani, Miko, thought I’ve put in about 3-4 hours on Mellka over the last day or so, mostly on stream, and it was pretty damn fun.
No words
NICE. Ambra is my go to character as well.
Hello! I also main her and only use her to
A. Give a first impression
B. Carry
Slightly, but I’m like you in the sense that “my mains” happen to be quite a few such as Melka, Miko, Ambra, Attikus, Kid Ultra, Ernest, Thorn, Boldur etc. But that’s not a small selection of characters still. So at least I wouldn’t consider that to be too streamlined in that sense even though I more or less never play other characters such as Rath, Shayne & Aurox and El Dragon anymore after I mastered them. After all, those I listed first are characters I could consider to be my “mains” but they’re not the ones I play exclusively by any means. Typically try to get out of my comfort zone every once in a while. What’s to be realised though ia that different characters are tailored for various playstyles and style of players. Regardless of how much they’d buff a character like Rah, I still wouldn’t enjoy playing him, or indeed be fit playing him as if I’d play as Miko for instance.
Though partially unrelated thought is that I have a hard time understanding those who have reached max level and haven’t played as all characters at least once. But that’s just me not understanding their choice in doing so.
Yes.
But I also felt like I needed to play as Reyna a lot in order to help support my team in PVP or defend mission objectives in PVE.
I normally feel guilty.
I almost always pick one toon and play that one extensively. But recently I’ve been more inclined to branch out.
Overwatch did it for me first. The ease of picking up the characters lead me to want to try more than one. Battleborn less so, but I’m far more willing to now than in recent years.
I think a mode that allowed for character swapping would do wonders. its not a great feeling to be stuck with a toon you dont know.
honestly I have a hard time NOT playing the rogues (All minus boss lady, don’t like her). I keep trying to branch out to others but I keep just going back to Toby and Shayne, specifically, though I enjoy Orendi and Whiskey, i’m just not as effective with them.
May have to rethink wanting to play with you
