I’m aware and I think that’s crap. The loot pack drop chance is insanely low and it sounds like everyone can get these new legendaries. So, they really don’t count as part of the DLC, in my mind.
Gearbox never promised to hand deliver legendary items to your door step or equip them for you on the best fitting loadout. They’re in the game. They can be obtained if you’re willing to put in the time and effort. How is that not enough?
Haha, talk about putting words in my mouth. Also, time and effort? You can buy a million packs and still not get one of the new legendaries. RNG and super low drop rates are reality. Having them drop from a boss is hardly hand delivering them to my dootstep.
Side note: I have opened a couple thousand packs and only gotten three different legendaries ever.
Has anyone gotten one a new legendary from the commander packs because I still havent
I do enjoy the random objectives and changing dialogue, but I have two small issues:
-
I kinda want it to be a bit longer; half an hour of gameplay isn’t really that much in my opinion. (although I do see that they were going for replayability so that’s something.)
-
The skins are pretty cool, but again it would be awesome if they were something other than just recolours. Retextures might take a little bit more effort for each character, but it definitely would be awesome.
Other than that, the format they followed for this one is great. I’ll eagerly await the next one.
Shattered dimensions was AWESOME
You CAN get all sniper with melees though. Theres a jump pad specifically to get that one sniper
Never found that specific one then. I must have been blind for all those 47 playthroughs… Gonna give another go and see if I can find how to get there.
Its right at the beginning of the first area (when meeting the 3 first enemies just continue forward)
Can’t remember exactly where it is, that whole area is kind of a maze, but I can confirm it exists. I managed to do that challenge with Kelvin last night.
Is it the lift that’s on a cart behind the building?
Ok, thanks guys, I think now I know where to look.
EDIT: found it. holy moly, never though about going THAT way.
Pretty sure that telling people to not play the game is the opposite of what we want at the moment.
It gets old with the same people who seem to be dissapintment. If you’re disappointed with the game, you move and play something else instead of repeating oneself like a broken record.
The dlc seemed shorter than I expected it to be. And when they said that they would give it better replayability I wished they did it for every story mission at the beginning. But back to the dlc, I thought there was going to be more than what it ended at in the treasure room. And once I stood next to Atticus the door would open and flashback 20 years ahead and Atticus is leading the thrall pretty well but there gonna need better weapons. The UPR and Eldrid turn them down but not the Detritus Ring. And that’s where Reyna (also known as the best candidate to act like a mafia boss/godfather) tells Atticus to do her a few “favors” and that she’ll give them the weapons they need.
I do think it is a good template for the other DLCs. Here is what i liked and did not like.
I do not like looking for the ops points. I thought I would, but it just messes with the flow of the game.
I also do not like the length of the mission. I did not mind the long missions of the original 8, some people did, and that is fine. But I did not.
I liked the different objectives, more of these please.
I liked the different dialog everytime you played. Up to 10 times. If i counted right.
Here is a suggestion if gearbox can. Since this dlc is broken up in 4 different spots. I am counting everytime a door opens. Maybe add one or two areas for people that want to play longer, or are just doing very well.
I have great fun playing the game, hope it just keeps getting better and better.
I could understand your annoyance
I’d say remove the ten chests. I think they should then add hidden more powerful enemies that drop Op points (think TVHM) and have five of those. Then make very small platforming/puzzle sections, ten in total, where five will randomly be available and drop Op points. This is my best, fairest, and favorite idea
What is the difference?
- Optional challenges differ - they mostly aren’t timer-limited and have much bigger impact on the outcome of the run - good.
- Ops points with rising difficulty and rewards - good.
- Many dialogue sets - good.
- Shorter length, smaller team - arguable.
For me, it’s actually no point in doing new DLCs like regular missions unless you want exactly opposite of item 4. - longer length and party of 5.
Also, I thought different runs will use different parts of the map, but they don’t - the base walkthrough is the same every time (two packs, defense, survive, raid, boss). But I think it is the result of reworking the DLC mechanics while they already had a map done, so there wasn’t much opportunity to change it then. I hope new DLCs will have maps that help this and provide more variety in the base walkthrough, not only in side challenges.
This was what I wanted as well but I was never under the impression that this Would be a definite.
I had hoped the changes to each play through would be far more dynamic and am pretty sad there isn’t anymore variety.
If the reward system stays the same for the future ops there will be no reason to ever play the ops again after you get all the skins.
