@Kurtdawg13 @Stouty22
There was a big deep cut dbz note in the new BL2 release.
I’m going to post my explanation of it below (spoilered, if you havent played so far). But I’d love if you guys caught it otherwise.
I think the quest name is cheif executive overlord vaughn has you run around the camp asking people how to be a good bandit lord
he hits claptrap and you ask him “Hey claptrap, have any ideas on to how to be a good bandit king?” and claptrap says “no.”
“wow. I was expecting a big rambling nonsensical bit.”
“oh well if you were expecting that, you hit the right place. All you have to do is to go out and grab the seven great lapis/lazuli stones-”
“nevermind, nope nope nope”
No major spoiler bits for you guys, but I laughed my ass off.
Feels like such a deep cut DBZ reference. The only reason I get it is because I love everything TFS does.

It’s also a throwback to the secret stash.
I didn’t pick up on any DBZ references in the new BL2 DLC

I did that quest and knew those are 17 and 18’s names, but definitely didn’t catch that. lol I don’t watch the DBZ abridged though if that’s what it’s from.

I never heard or payed attention to the names of 17 and 18. I only watch the anime English dubbed version. So the androids actually had names that weren’t numerical?

I mean they wern’t always androids. They where renegade teenagers at one point before Gero got his creepy fingers on them.

“Cyborgs” is more apt. Dbza makes fun of this a lot.
Piccolo : “We call them androids.”
Cell : “Well good for you, you’re wrong.”
16 is the only one that was a full on robot with no wetware, and was designed after Gero’s dead kid.

Yea and I’m pretty sure this is a somewhat recent thing they revealed, within the last couple years. It might’ve even been last year, I can’t remember. But they never said it in the show.

I know, I love learning about all the lore and stuff. It was so random too, I don’t even remember how or why it came up, they’re just like “oh btw, 17 and 18 have real names”

After further research today, the name of the move is “Double Galick Cannon”. The reason I wasn’t able to find it on the search of just “Galick Cannon” is that it’s Cabo’s main move in xenoverse (and presumably in canon)?
The other reason I couldn’t find it in xenoverse, is that in both games, such an awesome looking move is…
Literally just vegeta’s throw.
On one hand, I like that vegeta gets such a unique thing.
On the other hand, it seems like a wasted shot at a great close range ki shot.
Just thought people would like to know.
Edit: WHY THE ■■■■ IS IT CALLED DOUBLE GALICK CANNON? IT’S NOT EVEN ■■■■■■■ PURPLE. IF ANYTHING IT SHOULD BE DOUBLE FINAL CANNON

Yooooo I’m way late but I remember that Valentine’s post from Sabat, that was legendary.
And this thread just made me realize I’ve been gaming too much and need to watch the Broly movie again. It’s been at least a month or two.

Nice, training the new generation.
This just reminded me that I forgot to watch the last episode of the ToP dub, I think it ended last week.
